Boeing 777 shot down

I'm sure his 'joke' isn't any worse that some of the things that get chanted at football matches about past disasters etc. Why not arrest a whole stadium worth of fans?

Russian Defense Min on MH17: Most US evidence based on social media posts.

Where is this data, it's because it is still being "cooked" if i may say so. Lel

I think that clip highlights how serious this is getting. How much longer will Russia sit back and take all this.
Would really like to see some evidence to backup claims by the US et al.

Don't think they will hurry to do anything tbh, seem content to sit back and look unfazed by it while using it as currency to strengthen ties with less pro-US entities.

That is absolutely disgusting that poor man is being charged for that tweet. How could that happen?!

Charge does not mean sentence.

If it meets the public interest and evidential tests with the CPS then it might well run it's course in court.

It's been made in bad taste, is quite clearly inflammatory and is not even funny. I'm a big advocate of dark humour, but that is not even close to dark humour. It serves NO other purpose than to rile people up. Why should the platform make any difference to the comment?

As far as I am concerned tweeting it is just the same as standing next to a crowd of people and shouting it. The latter certainly would be considered disorderly conduct !

Extraordinarily poor choice of judgement from the CPS. Hopefully it isn't going to be seen by a bench

This is your opinion.

Quite frankly if it makes an example of a total **** then good. Just because the internet is free and open does not mean actions have zero consequences. Might make other people think about what they say.

Say what you want, do what you want - As long as you appreciate there might be a consequence.

Obviously it's my opinion, doesn't that go without saying? :p

I disagree with your point of view quite strongly. I think you should be free to insult and offend whoever you like. Note that is distinct from being free to incite hatred. The former relates to the sensitivity if others. If you make an insensitive comment, you should be properly labeled as a jerk by all and that should be that. I think you have to step into a threshold of showing gross hatred or an intention to oppress - in this instance I think it's pretty clear he has done neither.

I wouldn't even call that dark humour, its tasteless, disrespectful and unnecessary - I'd think the worst he'd get is community service and he ****ing deserves it!

It is a waste of police time to even consider prosecuting for it, they might as well rename themselves to the joke police.

(P.s. I don't find it funny and I don't particularly find it offensive. There are far worse things on the internet then an idiot who comes up with a poor joke.)
