Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Using a level 44 Siren and trying to spawn Vermivorous in the entry area of Caustic Caverns. With the plan of getting Crystalisks to wear it down for me.

I'm limited to that area as not doing the side quests, so can't open up mine track tunnels.

Does this sound feasible as so far I've been trying for several days. And prior to that the Tundra Express farmhouse area. At least I'm getting some exp for it.

Just spawned him in Farmhouse, using this trick:

Unfortunately there are several ultimate badasses and multiple baddasses and I am low on amo  D'OH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, Super Badass Threshers are so cheap :/

They get a free attack when the come out of the ground, and that free attack takes out all my shields and drops me to 15% health also. They then immediately tentacle whip me putting me in Fight for your Life.

I'm literally dead before I know it's there.

Generally I find the game enjoyable, but Threshers and their free attacks when they come out of the ground are super, super cheap.

And they put them right where you have to go for certain quests...

[edit: specifically talking about the SBA Pyre Threshers, in Caustic or Highlands]

Yeah those Pyre Threshers are the lamest enemy by a mile. Constructors have a ****ton of hp and spawn units but you can at least combat them. The Pyre Threshers just appear under you which seems to be more down to luck if you manage to avoid that, then they down you before you can react and can spam ranged attacks at you.

yea like those Stalkers, you'll be doing ok until you suddenly see a Rabid Stalker in front of you and that's it...you're dead, the Rabid Skag is the same, a real bitch to kill !!!!

Threshers = Sawtooth Cauldron, there's a Pyro Badass boss and a Loot Goliath......if you see the Loot Goliath on his own in the water doing nothing, not even interested in you  then you've had it....because that's the only warning you get !!!

Really enjoying UVHM at the moment. I'm actually finding it easier than TVHM, although I put this soley down to a better knowledge of the game mechanics. It's become apparent that sl@g is crucial.

I'm still debating whether to go for a sl@g turret, or stick with a more rounded build. Currently I have to sl@g whatever my turret is shooting at and whatever my mate's Zer0 is shooting at, which is time consuming. However, I can still take and give a reasonable amount of damage which I probably wouldn't be able to if I invested all the points for the sl@g turret.

3 more golden keys here KTCTT-6SX56-5TS3T-BJT33-XB66Z

Thanks. Where do you get these from? The short availability ones I mean. Forums? RSS feed?

Crazy idea incoming! :D

Last year I did the Extra Life charity event (link in sig to last years page) by playing GTA San Andreas for 24 hours - received little to no support from the community here which was a shame but now I have a new idea for the 2013 event :D

Well actually I already tried one idea but it got no response at all :/

However new idea:

For Extra Life you can enter as a single player or as a team so this got me to thinking of Borderlands 2 and the fun I've had co-op'ing recently :D

Would anyone be interested in joining me for 24 hours of BL2 4 player co-op for a good cause?

The idea would be to start 4 new characters at level 1 and see how far we can get in the 24 hours :D

So takers? :D

@ sundance, there is a page on facebook called shift codes or something and they seem to gather up most of the ones that come out and post them quite quickly. Other than that, the borderlands 2 sub reddit is very active and codes appear on there quickly as well.
I just post them here in case some people miss them.

I have just had a Legendary Gunzerka Class mod and a Legendary Commando Class mod drop, if anyone wants to trade? I am looking for a legendary weapon or shield :)

i'd be very careful, because it's going to be much harder than Ultra mode..and Ultra mode is already too hard for Solo (compared to any other shooter).

but the Haloween DLC area looks interesting....Zombie Island is my favourite

“It truly is a very challenging area,” Gearbox designer Jason Reiss says of Digistruct Peak. “I’m hoping that the fans are prepared for it and willing to take it one step at a time. It’s about learning the area and learning the encounters. ”...........so yes, FLIPPING HARD !!!!

level 61 to 72 will be the same as level 51 to 61

Sounds too hard. Normal first playthrough is hard enough in parts with bizarre difficulty spikes where you’re shields instantly disappear at the first surprise attack.

Still absolutely loving the game though, level 32 and spent half of yesterday doing the treasure hunt mission, great fun all round.
