Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Hmm reached lvl 31 before i did the last mission, now on my second play through in that true vault hunter mode (whatever that is) and im still enjoying it, think i managed 3 complete ones in BL1 before i gave up hehe.

31 hours apparently lol.

I always keep a rocket launcher in 1 of my weapon slots. Made short work of the W4RD3N on my Gunzerker.

On the topic of shields. How are higher level versions of the Roid Rage shield you get from the 'Mothers Day' quest? Was essentially just a powerful melee damage boost when your shield is depleted with a stupidly long recharge time (the one I got was 214s). Sounds like it'd be pretty good for a melee Zer0.

Really enjoying the game. I knew I would, but it's still surprising by how much compared to the first one. I'm up to 17 on my Siren, I do miss phase walking but phase locking someone then emptying a clip from my corrosive minigun is awesome. I've also found a fire type sniper that fires as fast as an assault rifle.

I am lvl 21 now but only have 1300 health .. Its now a case of my shields have more health than me and thats on a gunzerker .

Whats other peoples health atm ?

Well i had about 7 cans of stella last night, and decided to do the free roland in crimson.

Dear me i needed em, that was intense to say the least. So i gets all the way to being in front of warden, everything was going ballistic, i was level 13 going into that with decent guns except corrosive one.

So i was running round trying to get a vantage point, and i see a hole at the back of warden.Jumps in this to give myself a moment to get my ** together.

The stella got the best of me, as i fell asleep, still in the hole, looked at the clock 1:30am.So i climb out of the hole, nothing was there, the warden had gone :D after all that as well. Then i find out i have to rescue him from the prison, and go through hell again :D

game is getting much better but it still has bugs, the menu is beyond bad, plus when i exited it yesterday, he reversed back 20 ft and over a cliff !

what i do now is to make sure something is behind me before entering the menu, it's so odd, you exit the menu press W and he shoots back at running pace, he gets stuck on the ground too :D

levelling up is dreadful i played for 12 hours yesterday and only got 4 skill points...so that's 10 skill points in 22 hours gameplay and i'm only at level 15 ( i've just met Hunter from the 1st game)

i've had enough of this so today i'll go in search of cheats, or try the cheat codes from my 1st game, i'm not carrying on like this, it's not right, he's still totally useless, the sniper in zoom is wandering all over the place, i couldn't get enough skill points yesterday to even speed up his reload, i had to give two to his sword skill, which is useless too, it takes 5 swipes of his sword to kill a Midget.

it's nowhere near as user friendly as the 1st game, i'm having to do every side mission so i can build him up before carrying on, he just isn't strong enough to go any further.

if he gets wounded he's had it, the reload slows down even more, so you cant kill anyone fast enough to get second life, i just press E and let him die.

my game seems worst than everyone elses even on my other forum

Much advice is to fight and run behind cover so they can't all clobber you from.range. Then try to pick them off one at a time.

Ugh wait till you do the mission where you have to collect downed flying machines parts. Dear god i died about 4 times even using rpg and my heaviest weapons!

Thats a problem your end mate.

Not once had an issue myself, or any of my friends that I play with.

Game runs flawlessly, and bug free so far.

yea, my keyboard is brand new i'll take a look at it tonight

as for dieing, i've died loads of times already, that mutant fly from the 1st game killed me at least 10 times, i'm going to do loads more side missions..and take a good look at my health/ armour, something aint right

i've found a great cheat in the ``tiny tina `` mission which will level me up quickly.

I'm enjoying the game but also surprised by people saying how much better it is than the first.

For me it's almost exactly the same, not that there's anything wrong with that. It just feels identical.

I don't get how some people are having so much trouble with Zer0, I only really get downed if I get swarmed and even then a rocket launcher or an explosive weapon will get you out of it.

Only time I've had trouble was when I ended up in an area with enemies like 2-3 levels above me, but once I'd battled through a bit it was much easier.

it's deffo a better game/ much more AI/ far bigger bandit camps, it's just not as well optimised....yet.....but as a game for replay value it'll be brilliant, dont forget they'll be releasing 4 DLCs and in the 1st game 3 of these are massive !

i have to redo the Tiny Tina mission over and over again to level right up, it might take 2 hours !..... i did this in the 1st game too, kept killing ``Skyscraper``, i went from level 55 to level 69, i then went and killed Crawmerax..:D:D i found so many weapons !!!

this will be miles harder, because i'm going to have to kill that bandit till i get close to max level, lets wait and see, Borderlands is excellent for respawning, i was in a bandit camp for an hour yesterday just killing the same guys over and over again, unfortunately these bandits were worth nothing, you have to kill one worth 1000 points !

if you turn off the music etc, you can hear what these bandits are really saying, it's amazing, very twisted stuff, you dont hear it with the music on, even on low, you have to turn it right off before they really start talking.

they're more like escaped loonies, rather than just bandits like in the 1st game.

he might be ok leveled up, but right now he's very weak indeed, he's only got one skill point on his reload speed and he's still the slowest guy reloading that i've ever played, i shout and swear my head off when he reloads, it's so flipping slow.

i wont bother with his melee' from now on, skill points are too hard to get, unless i level up quickly tonight.

Never had a problem with reloading. Your problem is the guns you use, if they have slow reload stats then of course its going to be slow.

Also, never reload when you're downed, just switch weapons...much easier.

I have a feeling you might be playing a different game here buddy...

The graphics have improved a bit from what I remember, especially with the addition of physX. Game play is largely the same yes, but I like the new areas and enemies, far cooler guns too!

This is really weird - the only time I've had anything similar (in any game) is when I had a controller or joystick plugged in but not in-use. Have you got any other peripherals plugged in?

I'm not sure what the levelling speed problem is about - I'm finding I level at a reasonable pace (certainly comparable to BL1). The weapon sway issue could well be related to the movement issue above - some peripheral affecting the game in an unexpected way.

What way are you wanting to use the zer0 character? More focus on melee or guns? Any particular gun types you enjoy? What do you mean by not enough skill points to speed up his reload? Is it one of the tier 2 skills you're after? In which tree is it? If you can answer those I think people can help you out with tweaking the character a bit.

It does seem very odd how much of a worse time you're having - I can only assume you've had REALLY bad luck with weapon drops. For me, he's comparable to the sniper from BL1 in diffculty (though I much prefer Deathwing as an action skill just for coolness points). So far I've actually only died twice - once I was killed by an incendiary barrel that also killed the last enemy in the area (leaving me no enemies to kill for a second wind) the second time I had only fire guns equipped and was killed while surrounded by fireproof enemies. Every other time I just spammed all my guns (switch, don't relaod) at the nearest foe and it's worked out fine.

Anyway, today's coolest thing I found in Borderlands 2:
Nomad Pyro's can be insta-killed by sniping their flame tank backpacks. BOOM!
