Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

I didn't quite get what the appeal of it was, just seemed boring, dry and repetetive.

I also would have to play with randoms since I doubt any of my mates would be interested in this game.

I wasn't the biggest fan of BL1 but I found that BL2 is a huge improvement. It's a similiar type of gameplay but with more guns, looks nicer and story is a lot better, not to mention the awesome characters.
 
The game seemed to patch earlier and I noticed when playing for a bit with a mate that some of the PhysX effects aren't appearing and the ones that are don't seem as good as they were. I assumed the patch reverted the setting back to its default of "Medium", but when I returned to the main menu and checked it was set to "High" (as an example, opening toilets didn't cause loads of waste to splooge out).
 
What has peoples experiences of the slot machines been like? I'm not sure if I have a lucky horseshoe up my rear end or if this is normal.

Im only level 6, but just found my first orange.... it's an assault rifle that fires grenades which do 150 damage per hit. :cool:
 
395k damage headshot now my record. No idea how that happened.

Cant wait to see the type of damage figures Zero can put out with a level 50 purple/orange sniper :o
 
The warden himself looks ok, just the constant respawning badass constructors which one shot you and all your shield and pretty much health are gone. Yes make the game challenging but not so hard it's just annoying. I'm a level 16 siren which apparently is useless.
 
As soon as I hit 50 I'm going to be farming the bee shield. It's pretty much the best shield in the game. Unless they nerf it.
 
Made it to lvl 17...however all my missions are still lvl 15 doh no idea how i got overlevelled.

Just done the bit where your sanctuary gets moved away and then the next 2 missions after that where you have to go kill something that can go underground and is protected by the robots...

Luckily have a gun that is a minigun stylee that does 59 damage per round, fire speed 12.8 (it gets faster the longer you hold the trigger it seems) does fire damage and has a huge clip. I managed to waste the boss by getting infront of him and plugging him with full clips from that gun over and over...
