Jack is released, and the only other announced one will be Hammerlock's sister, The Baroness, who apparently will play like a Zero/Siren mix (claims are as yet unproven).

Yeah, i saw Jack, looks "meh". I'll hold out for The Baroness i think.
I should start with a second character anyway. Who's got the most/best elemental effect skills?
Athena's third skill tree seems to have a good few elemental effects although I haven't used them yet, I'm focusing on her first tree at the start.

Yeah, Athena's 3rd tree is badass.
Rock either a shock or fire beam weapon and you destroy things. Jump every 10 seconds to Smite people too, great fun.

Thanks for the shift codes but I don’t seem to be able to use the keys in-game? When I approach the chest it says I have no keys, even though I have activated several of them, same as in BL2. Early game so I don’t need them yet but might like a shiny new gun soon. Are the golden keys working ok?

Go round the corner from the chest (back up the stairs and left) and you'll find a shift console - you need to pick up the keys from there! Bit odd that one!
As for Elemental Athena's right hand tree is a great shout, constant weapon switching and very active combat - very deadly.
For a defensive style stick with the shield as it can absorb all elements and distribute them accordingly

Can't pick a favourite style though. Trying to get a level 50 shooting star to make the game ruining Melee build on the go though

Liking Athena so far, but early days.
Just finished Nisha(Playthrough 1), just got a few side missions left to do. Tried a little farming on Iwajari, did about 15 runs and got 3 Thingys. Went from level 27 to 31 in that time. So, going by my previous playthroughs, my average for a Thingy, is 1in5, which is not to bad.
Managed to beat the main Boss at level 26, which surprised me.
Also farmed the vendors at (almost) every level and have a bank full of various Legendaries( 3 Gunslinger mods and 3 3DD13s), plus half a dozen in my build. I seemed to have acquired more Legendaries in BLPS than 1&2 combined and then some.

Sounds good, I'm still waiting for my first legendary but I'm only at level 20 on my first playthrough and Blue's are fine so far. How are you getting all the legendaries?
In between missions I jump to all the vendor locations(just the ones you don't have to fight to get to them) via fast travel. As the vending machines recycle every 20 minutes, it's quite easy to do. As some of these Legendaries can be quite expensive, you need plenty of money. I got into the habit with BL1&2, of picking up everything and selling. I only keep about 6-7 weapons/items in my backpack.

Level 50 Wilhelm now, just coming up on the end of TVHM then i'm going back to do a load of side quests that had decent rewards at lv50 
Once done i'll pick a second character to go through with. Currently Athena, but i keep thinking about it and Jack might not be all that bad after all.

Hardly had any legendaries myself other than one I was given. Loads of purples. Used the chest in Concordia a few nights ago and got three lots of pistols in a row.
Just picked up a Whisky Tango Foxtrot and a Monstrous Snider from the vending machines at the Robotic Plant, both together.

I am a fan of Gaige, fave character from BL2.
Mine too.
No more BLPS for me until Thursday, got to go do a bit of work for a few days.
