Bought an old BMW M3, filled with regret...

Amazing the difference a simple air filter makes, amirite loltim?

Nice em free m8, looks mint.

The lipped diffuser is nice but now the more I look at it the more I miss how the exhaust tips would stick out of the stock non lipped diffuser, now the tips are tucked under the lip and not as prominent. The lip finishes off the valance nicely, but the exhaust tips look like they're hiding away under there!

Maybe I need some more time to see how I feel about it. I have the stock diffuser anyway so I can stick that back on if I decide I want more tips vs more lip in the future. Also, just as I predicted, car is dirty

Much prefer the look with the lipped diffuser, in my opinion in stock guise the tips poke out a bit too much and are too thin (I know you have euro style tips which improve that).

That does sound good, almost as nice as the roar of a set of twin Webers on an old Ford. Have you thought about having a new map emailed to you now that you've upgraded the intake?

A big improvement over the stock M3 induction noise for sure, but I would say it is not a CSL noise, just more the regular noise made louder and deeper. The CSL bark really is quite unique.

Near CSL sound without the 4 figure cost at least! My video wasn't reaching high rpms either, that's for another day when it's dry and warm I think :p

But you got it at a good deal, right place right time kinda thing! Plus was that Inc the remap and other gubbins?

Hell no. I paid Evolve for the Alpha-N map, think it was like £100ish due to already having their map and even though it made great power and drove well, it could be better.

Hence why in the end I went for the map sensor setup and a TTFS map, but the results speak for themselves, huge power and superb drivability.

But if you want to make the most of your intake you also need a remap as well. ;)
