Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

Thanks. Fair enough, didn't realise. Just looked a little strange without knowing the context. As you can tell, I don't really follow F1 :o but really enjoyed some of the races this season.

Are people really suggesting Hamilton should have moved out the way and let hulk through?

I'm pretty sure this is a race.

Maybe every car should move off the track when someone gets near them to avoid a collision.

Hamilton did nothing wrong. Hulk did.

Brilliant brilliant end to a season, I was utterly gutted when it looked like Vettel was going home in the first lap but that's why F1 is great to watch!

Did bring a huge smile to my face when MS clearly let Vettel through even though Webber was ahead for a possible +1 in grid places. Should have been a McLaren 1/2 with them 2nd for constructors :(

So this morning, the postie knocks on my door, and hands me a nice little parcel containing a "Lewis" Mclaren team baseball cap that I won in their "we win you win" competition.. While slightly disappointing since I'd rather have a Jenson one, its still cool..

And then.. an hour later, I get a text message, I'm like "who is texting me now?" and I look.. "Congratulations, you are a winner in our we win you win competition"..

Guess I'll be getting a Jenson cap too.. :)

Exactly that.

Took out poor Senna on lap one, no drive through for causing a collision.

Then he overtook under yellow flag conditions. I don't give a hoot what the FIA 'may' have said, Sky coverage showed it clear as day. Again, no penalty. As Ron Dennis said all those years ago 'where's the consistency?'.

And don't get me started on Red Bull covering things up over the course of the season.

Title should have been Alonso's. Shame really as he's been the best and most consistent driver all year, but there we go, it's the good old corrupt FIA and things won't change. Entertaining season, mind.

He didnt overtake under yellow conditions. Lights are not the only indicator, they have lights on steering wheel and off course even Ferrari say it was oil flag.

And everyone gets a penalty for a racing incident, oh wait no they don't.

Nope you're talking BS.

Why was it not even investigated like every other racing incident is?

Lol, have you seen the sig.
Ha ideas are so rubbish, you have to go down that route.

I am far from a RBR or Vettel fan.
No, I haven't, images are disabled. My opinion stands, and it seems thousands if not millions of F1 fans agree with me.

But of course, we're all talking BS.

Whitmarsh later admitted that Button was "more than marginal" on fuel after the team made a mistake in calculating their fuel loads for the race, forcing Button to use a "severe fuel-saving mode" from the eighth lap of the race.

A penalty to Lewis Hamilton for a gearbox change promoted Michael Schumacher to second on the grid.[185] Schumacher would ultimately retire from the race after the first round of stops when it was discovered

that one of his wheels had not been attached properly. Rosberg took an early lead in the race, and while his attempt to complete the race with only two pit stops came under threat from second-placed Jenson

Button, a mistake by Button's pit crew during his final stop handed Rosberg a nineteen-second advantage over Kimi Räikkönen.

Lewis Hamilton finished eighth, once again hampered by slow pit stops.[200] He was later involved in an altercation with Nico Rosberg that saw Rosberg referred to the stewards for forcing Hamilton beyond the

boundary of the circuit while defending his position, but he escaped without penalty.[201] Hamilton went on to finish eighth, while team-mate Jenson Button was forced to retire two laps from the end of the race after reporting an unusual vibration from the differential.

Button, who was able to brake later in his McLaren, launched down the outside of Kovalainen in the braking zone of turn 1. At the same time Kovalainen moved left and the Finn's front wing hit Button's front

right tyre, causing a puncture on the McLaren, and Kovalainen damaged his front wing. A subsequent pit stop for Kovalainen put him down to 13th place, meanwhile Button retired from the race due to his puncture.

Hamilton won the race, becoming the seventh winner in seven races and taking a two-point lead in the championship.[7] Grosjean's second place saw Lotus take third place in the Constructors' Championship from

Ferrari.[246] Both Grosjean and Pérez expressed surprise at finishing on the podium,[247][248] while 2011 winner Jenson Button finished sixteenth in what he described as his "worst race in years"

Hamilton in second, in his attempts to hold off Räikkönen had pushed his tyres too much, and they started to wear towards the end of the race. Räikkönen patiently bided his time before passing Hamilton on lap

55 with two laps left, when Hamilton's tyres were worn out. Hamilton was now under attack from Maldonado, whose pace was strong enough for him to stay out of the reach of Schumacher and Webber. Maldonado

attacked Hamilton at turn 1 on the penultimate lap, but some strong defensive driving by Hamilton meant that he kept the place for then despite his worn tyres. Maldonado tried again on the run down to turn 13

using DRS, with Hamilton taking the inside line and forcing Maldonado off the track, and as Maldonado tried to rejoin, he clipped the kerb for the next turn and hit Hamilton, forcing him into the wall and out

of the race. Maldonado himself lost his front wing, and dropped back down the order.

Lewis Hamilton Ret - Puncture Damage

Lewis Hamilton's one hundredth Grand Prix started with a disaster when he picked up a puncture on the third lap and spent most of the race at the tail end of the field before retiring on lap 56 with a

suspension problem. Confusion briefly reigned when Hamilton, in seventeenth place at the time, began lapping faster than the leaders and sought to unlap himself. This was a ploy by McLaren to force Alonso and

Sebastian Vettel to drive defensively against Hamilton, slowing them down enough to allow team-mate Jenson Button to leap-frog Vettel at the second round of stops, a move which raised Vettel's ire.

I am far from a RBR or Vettel fan.

And not every incident is the same.

Seb caused a collision that took out another car, I have yet to see such a incident not be investigated at least.
