The fact this hasn't already been resolved as a simple x's car broke the rules you're DQ'd surely means there is some element of doubt at play. Unless Max is the incredible Hulk him tickling the rear wing isn't going to have done anything but maybe its given enough element of doubt who knows....

I think the ring needed a lot less than 10N to be forced through the gap hence the gap was OK but the wing flexed too easily, merc can argue that it weakened during qualifying. But was OK at the start.

Somebody will probably be able to find one but I can't think of a longer investigation into an incident during a race weekend off the top of my head. We'll be pushing 24 hours by the time something is decided.

It's probably leaning towards the wing being illegal but could effectively decide the championship so they're trying to find some middle ground because everything gets political eventually.

If it is they will need time to fix it too? So what happens if they decide it's illegal at the 11th hour and they don't have a spare to fix/modify?

I suspect that they'll use Max touching the car as the way out of penalising Lewis.

From Max's verdict:

Clear, high definition video from the rear facing roll-hoop camera on car 44 shows
that there is absolutely no movement of any of the wing elements on car 44 when
Verstappen touches the back of the wing and the Stewards are satisfied, from
watching all the videos, his body position and the video of the wing, that there was
insignificant force when Verstappen touched the wing.

That's Lewis at the back of the grid it seems

As @bayo000 just posted, the verdict suggests Max had no affect on the wing, so probably not.

Of course, Hamilton fans want Max to be disqualified, a 150 point deduction, a £3.6billion fine and forced to drive this year's Haas for the next 10 years
