BRINK

Game is starting to give me severe rage with the amount of people who don't seem to understand the need to do the objectives before the timer runs out. They'll just happily sit back and camp whilst the timer ticks down and we desperately need to move forward.

Yup...I had that last night. Very quickly killed my desire to play.

Its a common problem that seems to be getting worse with such multi player games.
Was playing BFBC2 last night & its shocking how lemming a side can be time & time again.

Just got mine now, delivered by a stealth postman some time ago.

And my disc drive is making some really weird noises now... think this computer might be on its last legs.

Yes, sigh. I mean it was fine when I was learning the game, now I know how to play the game a bit, so frustrating.
Example being the game I just came out of, think it was the Aquarium level, on security and we needed to escort the guy. A couple of us did so until we met the enemy, then never got any further. I kept seeing most name tags all over the map but where the escort was, with a few of us endless dying, trying to break through.
That is the problem playing pubs with this game, especially so early on, where basically most don't have a real clue.

Hmmm...well these are my specs:

i3 @ 3.3Ghz
4GB Ram
5870 (11.2 drivers...tried the 11.5 and 11.5a which basically makes the game CTD)

I am have had to turn all the effects off, shadows off etc and I am getting 15-40 fps with stuttering at 1080p.

It should be much better. This game doesnt look out of this world so I dont understand why the performance is so bad.

I notice that people who getting an "acceptable" 40fps usually have fast CPUs.

Possibly you're right re the cpu stuff. I'm 1055t @3.8, 4GB ram, 6970 and get pretty reasonable FPS - 40-100. I'm on 11.5a (not the new rc3 ones).

Argh, hate you can't filter bots and doubly hate admins who have reserved spots making you unable to join, but that spot is filled by a bot. So one team has to be a human down.

Done the challenges and the Resistance campaign. All seems to be working fine, just have to see what its like on MP. Not touched the graphics settings of the config yet.

Trying to get to grips with online play atm. Been focusing on my Operative on SP, got all the abilities up to rank 3 so far. Comms hack is great, as is the ability to hack turrets (though i've not really seen any online...).

Can't really see the point in the Light body type. SMART doesn't seem to offer much in the way flanking from what I've seen and the SMGs are pitiful. There accuracy isn't bad in hipfire compared to ARs but they do next to no damage. Tempted to try a heavy operative again. Was funny on SP to walk behind the enemies then break cover with your minigun and catch everyone by surprise.
