**British Armed Forces Discussion Thread**

My next promotion is now worth £80 per year.

Disgusting. I've finally reached a point beyond anything which I could ever tolerate. Work load is too high, manpower is too low and they're slowly picking away at the bones left over from any perks we once had.

Fast becoming an horrible organisation to work for.

Can anyone tell me what I can expect as a Level 9 SAC(T) in a Supplement 3 trade?.

The pdf thing wont work on my computer.

I was under the impression actual figures weren't published right now.

You'll stay on what you're on now from what I can work out. But if you get picked up under NEM you only go to 30800 whereas anyone picked up on the old scheme would have gone to 32k, and you get a 2 year pay freeze

You stay as you are. All the equivalent levels are lower.

figures are using this years salary figures. new ones will be released for end of march but thats usually just the average 1% rise. No indication of a large increase.

top pay band for techies is now 28,749 under NEM. They basically got rid of your level and made it a 200 quid increase from the level below instead of 1.5k.

I dunno if I was being naïve but I was initially under the impression that the NEM would attempt to slow PVR rate and give some more skilled trades the incentive to stay. The salary is fairly average.

I'm glad my last incremental is in March.

Thats what it says at the start of the document. I guess someone joining once its in would get more money earlier but they also have much less potential earnings compared to our current system if they stayed in long enough to reap the benefits (like boycey's figures show)

And they would have no bonus, AIP or various other things on top of that. Plus accommodation etc will be going up for people in housing/blocks as well.

Seems to be doing the opposite tbh.

Not at all. Skilled trades now earn less at the top tier in general, however adminer types on what used to be the lower payband get an large increase.

So what used to be the higher/lower payband divide has resulted in the lower payband being raised and the higher payband being cut, especially for the junior ranks.

Yeah I thought the adminners were gonna freeze around their current wage and then we would move ahead to create a suitable divide. Instead, its this crap.

OF5 gets a slight cut. some stages of OF2 do as well but its made up with a higher potential earning at the higher levels.

nothing like the changes for OR though.
