British Grand Prix 2010, Silverstone Circuit - Race 10/19

Anyone found the BBC's positional map on the web site yet? Apparently it's running for all on track sessions this weekend - but I'm stuffed if I can find it.

And notice there is no hatred being directed towards him. Wasn't it the last GP where he took out Heikki? He has compromised other the races of other drivers this season, yet there is no vitriol being directed towards him.

Double standards, I think.
I don't hate Vettel for what he did, I hate him for his reaction saying Webber is an idiot by using the hand gesture when he got out of the car, the reactions of RB blaming Webber straight away and the fact he will not apologize for what he did.

Anyway, what will the hot weather do with they tyres, are there problems expected like Canada?

It's amazing how fast bbc are updating stuff at the home GP, why not at all race weekends.

Vettel's reaction (hand gesture) and RedBull's reaction has since been explained and is understandable. All parties believed that Webber had disobeyed team orders, which is why the immediate reaction was to blame Webber for the accident. As it turns out, the order was never actually passed on to him, so it wasn't Webber's fault at all.

Are Ferrari now beginning to understand the behaviour of their revised car? 2 cars in the top4 - when was the last time this happened?

You can't tell, everyone was doing long runs for the majority of the session. Will have to wait and see what happens in qualifying, maybe have a better idea in p3.

I remember the old thread and at no stage was Webber's name teamed with a 4 letter expletive.

From the last race thread:

And as for the comments I'm seeing around the interwubs about how Heikki was completely at fault for Webber's smash - two words. BULL. ****. He tried to get out of Webber's way, Webber kept tucking in behind, Heikki hit the brakes for the corner and Webber didn't. Cue one enormous crash. I see Webber is whining about it as well. How about being upset with yourself for ruining Hekki's afternoon, Mark?

I see Webber's name, and I see a four-letter expletive. But then, you never have been good at reading my posts have you? ;)

What a great deatalied thread, well done.

I really want to go to a GB F1, how ever the price and weather has always put me off.
This year I went to the Spanish F1 in May and enjoyed the experience.
So I will be looking forward to this weekends racing to see what the New track has to offer Spectator !

Lets hope it is a good day for us Brit's !

You never directed the 4 letter word at Webber, but more to those (on the internet), claiming that the accident was Heikki's fault.

The comment such as ...

Why not start a seperate thread for why we hate vettel and it can be done over there instead of a race thread and you can refer back to it each time you forget why the bloke is a total ****.

...is more typical of the sentiment towards Vettel.

All drivers/people make mistakes, but the vitriol and anger directed towards Vettel is way over the top.

Webber has done far more damage this season than Vettel and as such if anybody should have 4 letter words directed towards them, it should be Webber.

Anybody any rough idea when we can expect the replays on the red button?

And why is there no video replay of FP1 on the website? There is for FP2? Why do I get the feeling the BBC have screwed up today...

I'm pretty sure there was an incident (well nearly one) involving Schumacher and one of the Force India's. As you're all probably aware, the drivers have a chance after practice to do a couple of 'SC laps' to get used to the timing issues.

Schumi stopped just outside pit entrance to a) do a practice start and b) do a slow lap. As he stopped one of the FI cars came round Luffield heading for the pits, there was maybe a few feet in it, purely because Schumacher moved. Could have been interesting.

Hi guys, missed the last GP due to being at Glastonbury, am very excited about this one however. There won't be any rain dancing from me though, I had rather major surgery on Tuesday this week, so am currently laid up in bed. :(

Looking forward to watching it all on the telly though :)

Hope you get better soon Knip.

Also can't wait I think it's going to be exciting, especially if this gusty wind keeps up and the loss of grip halfway round the corner, going from the old tarmac to the new.
