British Grand Prix 2010, Silverstone Circuit - Race 10/19

I'm tipping Hamilton to win this one. He's the on-form driver, and I think McLaren's new updates may just see them gaining a slight edge over the Red Bulls.

Expect Webber to outqualify Vettel though, he'll be steaming to put his championship back on track after the last couple of races.

Well practise has started and Button is currently top of the time sheets.

If I was a betting man, my money would be on Vettel (providing it doesnt rain and there are no incidents).

I'm not quite understanding the hatred towards Vettel. The guy has done nothing wrong.

\runs out of fuel\does a webber and everyone else finishes behind him).

I put that right for you

I know I should not feed him :( :D

Can't watch practise today unfortunately. :(
Just noticed the Senna story... WTF!?

Really dislike HRT, they are (yet another) team that could have been binned for Stefan to race. Hopefully Senna gets a drive somewhere else as he's been ok, not that you can really tell with that disgusting raft he had to drive.

You know why people on here don't like him, the argument was done to death, you was a poster in that argument yet you again have run out the same comment. Do you want to keep having the same argument over and over?

Why not start a seperate thread for why we hate vettel and it can be done over there instead of a race thread and you can refer back to it each time you forget why the bloke is a total ****.

The argument wasn't done to death. And to clarify matters, it was the team who informed him that he was clear to pass Webber. In any case, it doesnt explain why insults are being directed at him, given that it was his team who decided that Webber should move over.

If people want to blame anyone, blame the team for giving him preferential treatment and telling informing him that Webber was going to let him through.

Anyway, back on topic, Vettel finished up No.1, which is about right, given the car advantage. I can't see anything other than a RedBull front row tomorrow, unless Hamilton can do a "special".

Incase it was missed on tv, Button nearly ran into the back of Yamamoto out of Woodcote. Would have been very similar to Heikki/Webber. Was quite interesting. Safety cars were racing first thing too. GP2 guys currently demonstrating their ability to run wide at Copse. Good day so far.

Can one of you just be the bigger man this time and let is slide, we don't need this thread being ruined with this argument again, please.

I blame Vettel for having no class when "racing", he cut across into Webber hoping that Webber would brick himself and move - no excuse for that, same thing in the China pit lane incident when he tried to squeeze Hamilton into a potentially dangerous pit lane accident, in both incidents he simply had to hold his line.

Vettel simply doesn't seem to like cars alongside him and feels the need to use his car as a weapon in those situations.

He did the same "chop" move on Hamilton in Turkey as well. A few laps before the infamous incident. After the race LH was heard to be talking about it and referred to it as "quite dangerous". If it wasn't for LH treating Vettel as a bit of a hot head then there could have been a crash there and then.

You have to remember Sunama knows exactly what happened, even though such action is illegal under F1 rules and that they would not say such things, so all his opinions are assumptions at best, but he states it as fact.
