Its gonna be sad getting rid of it because it has been stellar like my 2080ti .

Yeah my 3070 has been rock solid, runs cool and quiet I can't fault it. The only GPU I've kept this long, almost 2 years now. My bro uses his 3090 for MS Flight sim VR, and it's been a powerhouse. 4090 is the only real upgrade path out of Nvidia's first wave of 4000 series cards. 4080 16GB and 4070 4080 12GB look underwhelming for the current pricing.

We need this government removed even sticking a hamster as the government we would all be better off, this is past a joke now. They are destroying peoples lives now.
tories are cnuts but the sad part is those clowns on opposites benches are just as bad, if not worse, if they only moved away from center left to the center, they walk the next election

If the current prices areset so that the 30 series continue to sell when this stock is gone do people expect prices drops? Given there's a xx70/xx60/xx50 cards to come as well as any Ti variants I can simply see increases across the board.

3090TI Zotac amp Extremes are now £999 new. Thats a lot of card for £999 and potentially a few hundred quid cheaper than a gimped 4080 12gb

They are £899 on OcUK and the PNY is £839 for a 3080Ti .
Both up from their lows of £799.

Ya your comment read like if it cost £1750 your totally out, but £1699 is okay . Confusing because once your paying that much surely a few extra pounds makes no difference.

My bro bought an RTX 3090 at launch, he loves his too.

It isnt going to be just another £100 is it though? Doubt there will be a single AIB card below £2000 come launch day so thats an extra £300 minimum.

Yes I'm getting a 4090 FE but will be giving the aib a miss this time as can't deal with the amount of extra outlay over the FE which itself is an extremely good card in performance and build quality going by the 3090FE.

3090FE cooler was terrible - inadequate VRAM cooling on the backplate side meant it ran at 100C (4k full load) at stock, causing the majority to have to upgrade thermal pads on the VRAM.

3090TI FE and 4090FE are much better, due to only having VRAM on the GPU side of the card.

The economy in this country is broken, we are taxed up to the eyeballs and its still not enough to feed this massive beast of a state the conservative have created over the last decade.

BTW, inflation is just another form of tax, the government print money out of thin air, that devalues the money in your pocket, that's what's called inflation, for every £ that the government prints for its self you pay in the form of higher prices. Let that sink in for a minute.... they are still printing money like its going out of fashion.

Several of you have already decided which GPU to buy then. Can you post a link to the indipendant reviews which helped with your decision?

I'll add this thread to my bookmarks and cast my vote on 02/11/2022 when I've seen reviews from both sides.

The poll looks quite normal imo. There was always going to be a significant percentage on here wanting the "best" new card as soon as possible. I say best in quotes as we all know nVidia are holding onto a 4090ti. Outside of that, it's looking shocking for the 4080 cards and most are sticking with what they have.

There's only one review up at the moment
