The poll looks quite normal imo. There was always going to be a significant percentage on here wanting the "best" new card as soon as possible. I say best in quotes as we all know nVidia are holding onto a 4090ti. Outside of that, it's looking shocking for the 4080 cards and most are sticking with what they have.
Well it's not supprising when they price a 4060 and 4070ti at £950 and £1270 respectively and try to call them 80 class cards.

Yes be interesting to see what options they bring, but the weak pound effects them too, we are way below parity now due to VAT and shipping rates. :(
hello gibbo

Any chance that on 12th October 40 series release day, there are the following cards available:

4090 strix
4090 Amp Extreme
4090 MSI Lightning

Is there a pre-order list to avoid disappointment for customers?>

Thanks

It's shocking that people are so loyal to a company that they decide before a review.

I might start a poll to see what GPU people will buy in 2026:

Yes: RTX 6090 64Gb
Yes: RTX 6080 48Gb
Yes: RTX 6080 32Gb
No: skipping 6000

£3000

Meanwhile the 6050 is coming in a £1400 and offering half the performance of a 3090 but it's ok as it has DLSS 5.0 which plays your games for you.

I think even those clamouring for the 4090 should be worried by the trends we are seeing this time since if the 80 class cards sell well then that's what the 4090 buyers will be getting in their price bracket next time around.

4090 Strix - pre-order yes, stock maybe
4090 AMP AIRO EXTREME - Yes in stock
4090 MSI Lightning - Pre-order maybe, stock NO.

First come first served, stock volume is far better than 3080 10G was, demand is expected to be lower as well due to how much they cost. Further waves of stock will be far more frequent than 3080 10G was also as NVIDIA as been building 4090 stock piles up in preparation to somewhat avoid the mass over selling of the 3000 series on day one.

4080 12gb slower than a 3090, the 4080 16gb +20% and 4090 is + 70%
No, RTX 4080 12GB is not slower than RTX 3090. Actually it will be faster than RTX 3090! RTX 4080 12GB performance will match RTX 3090 Ti in games but in Ray Tracing games it will be slight faster than RTX 3090 Ti. Also RTX 4080 12GB Tensor core will be 2 time faster than RTX 3090 Ti.

Here some RTX 3090, RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 4080 12GB specs to compare performance:

RTX 3090

35 TFLOP FP32
69 TFLOP RT
285 TFLOP Tensor

RTX 3090 Ti

40 TFLOP FP32
78 TFLOP RT
320 TFLOP Tensor

RTX 4080 12GB

40 TFLOP FP32
82 TFLOP RT
641 TFLOP Tensor

4090 Strix - pre-order yes, stock maybe
4090 AMP AIRO EXTREME - Yes in stock
4090 MSI Lightning - Pre-order maybe, stock NO.

how can i get on the pre-order list for the 4090 strix?

Also when u say 1st come 1st serve, is that like on release date or release night, you just login and hit buy and hope it goes through?

Also when u say:
4090 AMP AIRO EXTREME - Yes in stock

does that mean u have it now? and will go live on the 12th October......

All cards go live at 2pm on October 12th and you will be able to order / pre-order any of them, the Zotac Extreme will be in stock yes, the others are yet to confirm as pricing is still unknown on the Strix as well.

And the 3060 was 12TFLOP FP32 vs the 2070 supers 9 TFLOP FP32 but it was still a fair bit slower in raster.

I don't suppose you know the OC on the strix?
I am going for the Amp or strix

Hi Gibbo

I am looking for the MSI Supreme Liquid. or the Gigabyte AIO...

Neither are listed at the mo...

Are they coming later or will they be available to order on 12th?

Need to plan the launch of my only fans page to pay for it! :)

ok, im gonna book a day off from work, might just drive over 400 miles to your shop, I bet there will be a physical que a mile long.

I bet some hardcore people will camp overnight to be 1st in the que, like when iphones release, ppl camp every year in the Apple shop.

Nope but the OC's don't matter anyway, the cards boost themselves according to several sensors, I would not be surprised if these cards run around 2800MHz core in most situations.

They shall be listed but I doubt we will see stock of H20 and AIO versions until November.

Were an online store, we no longer have a retail high-street shop.

Got a 3080 which runs the specific "non-competitive" games I play all in top settings at 4K60hz all day long, which is also my monitor res, so I don't see any point in upgrading at this time. I 'might' consider the 5080 but more likely it'll be the 6080 era (or AMD equivalent) that'll be my next GPU.

641 TFLOP Tensor

This doesn’t take in to account memory bandwidth though, on the 12GB it’s almost half that of a 3090Ti. It could impact performance in some circumstances.

I would wait for the reviews frankly…
