This is going to tank OCUK sales as well, surely most will go to the Founders at this price discrepancy.

Really hope something is worked out to bring them down to reasonable prices.
And just like that... £1600 is 'reasonable' for a gaming GPU
Just because it is less than the insane £2k+ prices we might get for AIBs.

Even if the pound recovers, not likely for a while, they won't suddenly drop because it is tradition to raise prices quickly and drop them slowly.

But how many can they sell at such extortionate prices? Surely most people would think twice about spending over £1000 for any card. The days of recouping some of the cost by mining are long gone. Nvidia will milk it as long as there are buyers but once they dry up then I expect stock to start building up unless they drop prices quite quickly.

Why? They were with the 3000 series (for different reasons). The 3090FE was £1399 and Asus wanted £2k for their 3090 and later closer to £3k.

And look at their pricing now, back then miners were paying stupid prices for cards, not now. Once the fomo crowd have had their fill, they will collect dust on shelves.

Nothing to stop it coming back, perhaps they will be bought as a gamble that it will come back? Also, I think the government has frozen electricity rates for businesses for 6 months. If your business is Crypto, it may be the best time to go for it.

Pure speculation, I have no idea on anything Crypto.

I wish AMD would announce what they have now so we can make a mofe informed decision on if its worth waiting an extra month or two. If I had a better card lined up I'd be shouting it from the rooftops.
