BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Got an interesting problem. If I download at full whack, about 9MB/s, my line will disconnect like it's fully saturated, never had a problem like it! I have to limit the connection to 8.8MB/s to keep it alive whilst downloading at maximum.

Thanks, so I can just remove the router and plumb the HH3 straight in? I dont need the router, might just sell it?

Remove which router?

Should be getting installed today

looking into getting BT infinity, not sure how long this has been available to my area but they say we can receive it. currently i am on a slow connection of around 2.5mb because i am quite far away from the exchange, the website says i can receive around 53mb download speed, how accurate is that number? seems a bit far fetched to me.

On Infinity 2 that will be doable unless you're really far from your cabinet.

Gone with BT Infinity anyway with the calls and internet unlimited package..i hope i dont live to regret it! its been installed on the 7th of september! i will be back with questions then no doubt as this thread is enormous now!

Just oversaw an Infinity install on behalf of my parents. They jumped ship from a 6Mbps service with Be, pay £1 a month more and are getting a stable 40/10 sync on a line that's at least 1.2Km long. Very impressive.
