BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Need some friendly advice please.
I'm on BT Infinity 2 and I was using my own Billion 7800N router with the Open Reach box.
My Billion 7800N has finally died and I'm back to using Home Hub 4 but I hate only having one GigaPort on the Home Hub 4.
I know I can get the Home Hub 5 but I was wondering if there is a better all in one solution that I should consider?
Are you guys using different routers/box solutions?

Could use a gigabit switch plugged into the gigabit port on the HomeHub 4. Adds another device though, HomeHub 5 would be better if it has all gigabit ports.

Yeah I could do that but I should have made myself more clear.
I wanted to know if there was an alternative (better) solution to the Home Hub 5 which would replace both Home Hub 4 and the Open Reach box.
I like the idea of having one device rather than two seperate devices.

I'm not sure if you can replace the Openreach box (could be wrong here).

I know the router itself can be, but the Openreach box acts as a modem does it not? The MAC address of it will probably be tied to your account and package. So, like the Virgin Media Superhub in modem mode, you always need it to pull down an internet connection.

You can replace the Openreach modem with another standalone VDSL2 modem or router with integrated modem. The MAC address is not tied to your account.

I have been on a data since getting infinity in December. I figured I would try and live with it and upgrade if necessary. In reality BT are not able to accurately monitor usage, so I won't be charged for going over my limit. This effectively means I am uncapped! Anyone else experienced this? How long am I likely to benefit?

Anyone able to work this out if it's good or bad?
