Bugbear NCG: Wreckfest now has real deal online Multiplayer.

I've yet to try Bonebreaker. I did ask how to make my own track too on the Bugbear forums, and saw Very had some videos. But he did not show HOW to get it in game from 3DS Max.. any ideas?

Ya End the guy you want read all his posts. He done over 40 tracks now for Wreckfest using 3d Max. He the best track maker we got. Suggest you start a thread at Bugbear forum if you want some help.

I cheat and use the stock Wreckfest tracks to make my custom tracks.

I've been playing this recently after buying it a long time ago when it had pretty much just come out, probably not touched it in a couple years.

Anyway I can't change the graphics quality, it's always stuck on low. Is it intentional like it auto selects the best settings for you and that's it?

Running 6600k, 16gb and 1060 6gb.

Having a tough time with a challenge in the national amateurs championships and the sandpit showdown series. Trying to get max points and complete race challenges to get the series perfected (gold tick).

So race 3 of the series is wreck 1 opponent and my word it's infuriating! I can either win the race OR wreck an opponent but never both in one sitting! Anyone managed this yet?

I'll have a look for you. One tip hit them on the corners, also strengthen the front of your car and remove weight elsewhere.

Still on the first career set sorry.

Finally managed it by dropping the difficulty right down and just getting lucky tbh! Still took about 50 tries but I caused a car to spin out into a telegraph pole and 4 other cars smashed into him leaving him with next to no health!

After finishing him off I was only 15 seconds behind!

Another series in that category I simply couldn't manage without being on novice difficulty as the AI is just too fast!

You are not able to go into each graphic setting and set it to off, Low, Medium, High or Ultra?

If you're going to insist on perfect scores for all championships you've got some real challenges ahead! They eventually increase the number of laps where the aim becomes as much to survive and avoid a DNF as much as it is to finish well! That said, all cars get battered on the way round so there are opportunities to pick others off for easy 'kills' - but when your car is also at critical damage - do you want to take the risk?

That is with damage on realistic mind you.

Mine does that for the default quality setting. I can set all the more specific settings manually which makes the game look as good as you would expect, it's just the quick set button always resets to low no matter what I do. It instantly switches back to low after changing it. Doesn't seem to cause any issues what with being able to change the other settings :)

At what point do the lap counts increase? I'm getting fed up playing the single player on high difficulty as trying to finish well on 3 lap races on tiny tracks is just down to pure chance most of the time. Custom races with 5-10 laps (depending on track length) are amazing fun, so it feels like a real let down in single player mode :/

I'll have to get back to you with specifics as I can't recall my progress or the names of the tournaments as I'm away from my PC. The standard races are, as you say, 3 laps early on - then at one stage they integrate a few 6 lap ones and then gradually 6 laps seems to be the new standard. I have to admit that my interest has begun to wane slightly as 6 lap races are just plain hard to survive regardless of winning, despite making concessions on speed by increasing armour.

My first introduction to the longer race was one all tarmac track with fast parts that lead in to near 90 degree corners with nary a run-off. You get unavoidably mangled if within any pack. I tried and tried to complete the race but surviving 3 laps of 6 was already enough of a feat. Eventually I decided that nefarious tactics would be required and rather than try to win places from my position of 17th on the grid, I instead dropped to the back from the start and let the pack smash themselves up, eventually finishing 2nd, well over one minute behind first place as the rest of the field just DNF. I wasn't proud to 'cheat' this way but I simply couldn't see how it could be done otherwise. It's not just the active cars trying to bash you to consider, it's the increasing number of wrecks of those already gone that have to be avoided on top of that...

There 5 triers to career mode, I now on 4th trier and all the races so far are 6 laps. Not sure if 6 laps are a good thing, can you race 6 good laps and not screw up? I was on 4th lap, about 4th place and screwed up and 5 AI cars pass me!!!

Maybe I've not quite got to the 6 lap races then! So far the only ones that have been that long are the tiny ovals and figure 8s.

Sounds like Motorcity, that track is utter carnage :D Up there with my favourites along with with the full length Sandstone Raceway and Boulder Bank Circuit :D

I generally find 5+ lap races are ok to survive on full difficulty, you just have to find the appropriate level of caution to drive with for your driving ability! I feel I'm pretty decent at driving now but when I was still getting the hang of it I had no issue with grinding out results on those tougher races just by being one of the last men standing :p

I find the SP quite drab to be honest. A car flipped over my windscreen one race and it was awesome. Outside of that, it's just ploughing ahead in 1st all the time.

Boring.

I recall flatout 2 being much more exhilarating. Maybe its just driving old bangers at the beginning that's not doing it justice yet.

Yeah, I am disappointed with the final product. It was not I was sold on when I originally backed it. I was expecting a career mode like Flatout 2, this is boring in comparison :(

I do enjoy it, but the negative things I can't quite put my finger on, it feels sort of dead end ish, it's hard to explain. Maybe the crash physics or the sounds.. I'd be wracking my brains trying to explain how I mean tbh.

Well, I finished the career with maximum points and I don't want to play multiplayer, so I've started treating it as an actual racing game and trying to minimise my lap times. Trying different cars, different combinations of components to fit in a particular class (I'm working on class C), different tuning, many laps. I was genuinely pleased to reach 135th in class C on the track I'm starting with :) My ambitions are small.
