Burnount Paradise Demo next week?

Well i'm getting it thats for certain. Just had a go on the PS3 version and i like a lot, fun, fun, fun. Takes awhile to get used to the free-roam to know where all the jumps, barrel rolls and shortcuts but once sussed makes it a darn site more interesting when playing online in free mode, lol. Looks lovely also and nice to see games now arriving on PS3 with no difference between consoles version if done right (EA take note). Online was just as busy as any LIVE game i've played with players instantly in your game which again proves to me Live should go free. Like the new take any route in the race part of the game and burnout session, found the 50,000 challange impossible, lol - your gonna have to string some big combo's for these ones and know all the route secrets, again pratice will make perfection. Speed of the car was good also maybe not as fast as BR but it still shifted, lol and the car is one of the lower ranked wrecks

Overall, played nice, looks good, new direction, online good and will be buying

It's ok i suppose. Just too much like NFS.

I still miss the frantic burnout action. It just doesnt behave like a burnout.

Yeah it's good fun no doubt, and with Need for Speed going in a complete other direction (for the worse) then Burnout kind of takes its place

well I've just got in and had a blast and oh dear what a complete pile of crap, complete ****, I'm so gutted, the Burnout franchise is one of my favorite, why the **** did they do this, they should have just stuck to doing what they did best and thats racing and crash events on dedicated tracks, this just doesn't feel like burnout at all in any way shape or form, in fact in feels more like NFSMW, actually I think NFSMW was better tbh and thats saying something, I just feel lost in this game, I'm an adrenaline junkie and that's what Burnout was all about, this feels so slow paced compared to the other titles, all my hopes are now pinned on the new Wipeout game for PS3 now, don't let me down Sony.

Liking this demo, gfx are awesome...really looks nice and slick and plays pretty well on the 360. Had a quick blast on it earlier tonight and it seems fun...again dont know if ill bother to get it...think i have to cut down on the amount of games im buying now:p

Just been having a few races online, ppl keep doing challenges, id rather chase the leader down and take him out, now thats fun :P , trying to see if my bluetooth headset is working right but would rather have someone lese on who has 1 and then we can see if there is feedback etc etc 1 cool point is i did a takedown and it showed me a pic of the guy, he must have been using a usb/eyetoy camera, always nice to see who u have killed/takingout.

WOW. Great game, I played it till silly hours, with just the one car it was just crazy fun!

It annoyed me that the others kept driving off, rather than play cat and mouse and actually chasing each other. But I am sure with my mic on I can shout at them to chase me next time.

Will be buying this :D

Getting into this more now, races are full of adrenaline :) but the looking for races is a bit off putting.
Will still be purchased come January !

~J~ and others, gotta have a few races on Saturday! Haven't played online yet.
Missed your messages you sent me mate. Sorry about that.

Chadd out !

But in the full version a race/challenge should be available at every intersection, you just RT+LT to activate it.

There's a hell of a lot in this game.

Do you know if there will be a single player aspect to the game or will it be multiplayer only?

As far as I know there are about 120 Single Player events, one for each interesection on the map, although to be pedantic, it's actually the traffic lights (which I guess is better for the stop, get ready, go)

The old Crash Mode has been changed to "Showtime" where you have a challenge like "Get over 50,000 points of damage within 2mins" etc.

Single player races also have "Boost Rules" based on Burnout 1, 2 or 3 style meters.

You can also toggle the traffic checking and the free-roam races can have upto 16 checkpoints anywhere on the map.

mmmmm, although I've been criticising this demo I do find the above quite interesting, not only does it put into contrast how big the actual game is but I do find the roads/highways on the left hand side of the map intresting, they look great for racing, the area surrounding the lake remind me of 'Silver Lake' from Burnout 3 Takedown, atm I'm still not liking the demo but those roads on the left of the map maybe it's saving grace.
