Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box

Why have they not released the trial already then? It said more details would be available in the run up to release, i'd probably say that was today.

I want to try it, but don't want to wait until the end of the month, and i'd rather not aquire it by other means if I can help it.

Well AFAIK the 'trial' is actually the full game, it is just time limited.

Yeah, I understand that, just there's no official download yet. I guess it would be large, anyone with the game know how big it is?

I read there are discs being distributed too, but no idea where to get one still.

unlike others i bought it from EA, on install it gave me the options 'trial' or 'full' install so i guess technically i could hand out the files to friends so they can install the trial ... one thing im not sure of is whether the game requires a unique serial key for online play, as with all EA stink games ive never had to input a code like with retail versions so no idea if the dvd release is the same ..

Personally im hoping that you do need a genuine copy to play online and Criterion havent done what codies did with GRiD ...

4gb is quite small for a game these days maybe there was room for gfx improvement like higher res textures then again it could have ended up like the need for stutter series on the pc

just glad burnout has finaly came to the pc and it runs really well

fairly sure that from what i have seen & read at various "sources" you DO NOT require an official version to play online. (NOTE - i am not encouraging or saying you should do it!!!)

Various sites are saying that you will have people playing online with cracked copies as there is no online protection

I hope this is not the case.

This is a game published by E.A were talking about, off all the publishers who would do something as stupid as this, E.A is not one of them :)

I regard EA as one of the worst publishers around. For starters, their newer games (eg. Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect) are available all around the world on Steam, except for the UK. A few miles across the river in Ireland, you can buy EA games on Steam, but over here, we can't.

I know bashing EA is the 'in' thing to do, but by god do they deserve it.
