Very tempted with this, a question for those experienced with wheels; is the Logitech Driving Force GT a decent cheap wheel for a first wheel? I can pick a used one up locally for about the £50 mark, wondered if it's worth a punt.

Only downside to the DFGT is the pedals, but they can be improved with a simple mod using a soft ball / bit of sponge or foam placed behind the brake pedal.

A google search will give you a few ideas.

I still have my DFGT, but if you can find one cheap the G27 is much better. I upgraded very quickly (luckily play.com had G27 on half price at the time). Main problem with DFGT is the pedals being all plastic have no weight to help hold them. My son loves playing GRan Turismo with it though :)

I've been playing Project CArs with my Logitech pad for some time when I couldn't be bothered to get the wheel set up. There are 3 pre-configured controller settings, but there are also sliders for dead zones etc if you want to tweak. I just use preset 2 or 3. 1 feels a bit weird to me. I'd recommend at least ABS with game pad, and in the more powerful cars starting out with traction and stability control will make pirouettes less frequent :). No messing Project Cars is a challenge, don't expect to win everything from the off, although you can turn the AI down to make it easier. Even slow AI will beat you if you're always in the gravel though, just like real life racing :)

His point is, the key is put into Steam like the rest of them. You get sent the key to downloaded it, it'x not a physical copy that is mailed to you.
