Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Official Thread

After reading the various ways you lot have done 'Heat' I decided to go back and give it another shot on Hardened. 2 attempts later I had done it, so decided to give Veteran another bash and 30mins later had done that as well!

So relieved to of finally done that, I found that to be a load harder than the Ferris Wheel part. :D:D:D

I completed this over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Played it not on the harest dificulty but one notch down, and there were only 2 parts I was stuck on for a bit: the ferris wheel and getting down from the hill in Heat.
I didn't think that the story was anything special but I did like the very end with the pistol :).

There is an extremly easy way to get down the hill on 'Heat'.
Once you come out of the field and hit the road go all the way to the left, then you can run through all the bushes by the side of the buildings and jump down beside the petrol station right next to the landing zone. Then you can just run into there and hide in the little side room until the chopper comes.
Thats how I did it anyway, and once I hit the road I didn't have to fire a single bullet or use any smoke/grenades on Veteran.

Same. the last bit is pretty easy

The way Dan1984 describes is it basically how I ended up doing it. I got killed a few times making the final sprint towards the left but once I got there it was a easy as pie.

Sounds good to me. Must work right to cap the respawns.

Check the post I did above which tells you how I did it exactly.

Though, bare in mind as with any COD game, speed is the essence. If say for example you tread carefully, kill all the enemies and reach the expected checkpoint, if you've taken too long the check point doesn't exist. They are based upon a timer, so you'll have to be quick about it.

Head right across the field, around the house, into the house on the left, then down the left hand road, around the back of the house and hide by the van / sewer part. Chopper will land pretty much right by you. Wait for yoru squad as they take an age and don't just leg it and job's done.

Remember you have air strikes too, they come in hand clearing a load once you know their respawn patterns.

I did it the same way on veteran ;) .

Im not enjoying this game now, im playing through on veteran and the level where you have to go building to building finding that guy and you can bring the helicopter to help you is just stupidly hard!

The way i did that was to clean one building out then move to another and the rest of your squad follow then use the helicopter to fire at them when you move between the buildings and also help clean out the building you are on .

Yep stick to the edges, worst thing is to try and run down the middle of the hill, lying down is good for when getting shot at too

That's the way i went, even got a checkpoint half way down. You have air strikes for this bit of the level too so there's really no excuse for getting stuck ;)

It's kinda like the Silo level from COD2, but a bit easier imo.

Yer, that was a bit of a hard bit. I found going into the church tower helpful as you can snipe loads and loads of enemies from there.

Completed the game through on veteran the other day, including the aeroplane level, what a bitch that was. Took me about 40 tries i think to do it. I let my brother have a few goes see if he could do it. Within 10 or so tries he got to the end of it where you have to take the guy out with the handgun.....and he shot the hostage :D I got it on video aswel on my phone, was hilarious
