It wasn't as it didn't actively stop Hamilton overtaking. Alonso did, he was a physical barrier and we can hear Bottas lift out of it as Alonso cuts across to block

If Hamilton got a straight tow he would have had him. He nearly did without it.

Honestly, I'd rather we kept discussion on the Canadian grand prix and not go down the Abu Dhabi rabbit hole 
Alonso was worse because he did it around multiple corners often changing direction erratically. Max just swerved side to side across the track so it was (somewhat) predictable and more akin to "breaking the tow" than physically blocking like Alonso did.

Max is always a like a big boy cry baby, very aggressive when he didn't need to be. What i don't understand why he got upset about it when Hamilton let him overtake on the straight anyway. it's like Max has a personal vendetta against Hamilton. Perez always seems to get shafted and has to let the golden boy past where as George said that he wouldn't challenge Hamilton to Get P3.
We will probably see that unless Ferrari can sort their engine issues out RBR will take the championship, and hopefully next year Mercedes have a better car. I'm hoping charles can demolish RBR and we can then laugh at max complaining.
No doubt Max is one top driver but just doesnt come across well, Hope Charles can come back seems the only one that can challange him but doubt it how much stronger RedBull car is looking , Sainz couldnt overtake him when he had DRS if that was the other way round Max would have over taken
It is possible for Mercedes to still get the championship, however it would mean getting p1 for all remaining races and with the issues they have including not being able to keep up RBR and Ferrari I just cannot see that happening. Their cars seem slower this year i'm guessing this has something to do with porpoising.
But i can see that Hamilton may get p2-p3 in Silverstone as it's a home track, but seeing that Perez had Gearbox issues will be interesting to see if things start going wrong for Max as well.

Max seems to have mellowed a lot this season in my opinion, now that he has a championship under his belt. He is even sort of growing on me.
He was horrid last year, and cracked massively under the pressure at the end of last season when he could see it slipping away from him and Ham went into unstoppable mode. Regardless of the fact he was gifted the title by Masi anyway, he wasnt a worthy winner due to that in my eyes. He should have been disqualified from Saudi Arabia, as his behaviour was awful and dangerous.
He IS a deserving champion, but he didn't deserve to have won it last year. The FIA really **** up, because he is going to win it this year at a canter anyway.
He is probably the most talented/quickest driver on the track at the moment. I don't think that can be disputed.

In a perfect world, Hamilton would have won last year and secured his record-breaking 8th title and then few people would begrudge Max winning the title this season given the change in regs etc.
But we all know the world isn't perfect.

Let's face it they all cry like babies when things don't go their way. But that's also the reason (one of anyway) why they drive F1 cars and we moan about them on internet 
Probably more to do with the fact that it is 99.9% a completely different chassis, engine, gearbox, everything.
Just because they had a sucessful car the last few years, NEVER meant that they would be guaranteed a sucessful, or even competitive car this year.
The whole grid basically started with a blank sheet of paper, there was no telling who would develop a good car, and who would not.

This is true, but look back at the threads before the season started and people wouldn't hear any of it. They still expected Mercedes to be up there and wouldn't hear anything else.
Hes mellowed because he doesn't fear anybody except Hamilton. Same goes for Horner.
This is a walk in the park relatively.

. I think he's the most overrated driver in the history of F1 to be honest. Sainz was very close to him at Torro Rosso, he was outclassed by Ricciardo when he was at Red Bull, and since then he's had a string of mediocre team mates and gets a car designed around his driving style. His racecraft is unsportsmanlike and often outright cheating. I think if you put him in a Mercedes where he gets equal treatment he'd be comfortably beaten by Hamilton and Russell.

Quickest at present, yes. Most talented? That’s a stretch given he is on the grid with Lewis Hamilton. I also think Alonso would out drive him if he had the car under him too, if a little rougher / dirtier!
Max has certainly learned to look at the bigger picture but I don’t believe for a second he has actuallly mellowed out. It’s just stagecraft where he manages his appearance in front of the camera via the PR machine.
Can be very easily and completely disputed.
Put any of Hamilton, Russell, Leclerc, Gasly, and possibly few other drivers, in exactly the same car as Max , and they would all drive rings round him.
If it was ever a case of "it is the car, not the driver" then max in the red bull currently is the perfect example.

I'm not so sure. I think he'd be on par with Lewis in the same car, and with a bit more experience/years under his belt and the advantage he has in age he would likely beat him (I say this as a massive Lewis fan/follower as well).
I dont believe any of them would "drive rings around him" at all.
Gasly is an odd one to list there considering he was in the same car as Max for a period of time, was rubbish in comparison and then got dropped..!
Talent as in raw talent.
I didn't say he was necessarily the best overall driver. I still think he has better racecraft to learn and needs more experience at the top.

Again this nonsense about the car being designed around him. The RB the last few years didn't suit his driving style, he's specifically said that's not how he likes to the drive the car and he had to adapt to it.
