Cancel culture expands to real life in the USA

I'm watching the video now.

It's just a woman ranting. She's not allowing the board to even speak.

She just said to them "I think you are all b-stards"

Edit: Ha.
The board: "You've exceeded your 2 minutes"
Ranting woman: "Is there a law against that?"
The board: "It's board policy"
Ranting woman: "The board makes the policy...who pays the board?"
The board (In unison): "Nobody"

[Voluntary positions]

She then says her tax dollars pay for the chairs they are sitting on though! Lolz.

What a loser.

Well apparently deuse says all the evidence is there, however for some reason (s)he refuses to even provide something as easy as a timestamp, i wonder why that is.

I don't know where this fits so I'm going to put it here, I don't really want to make a new thread about it. I apologise if it's off topic and the mods can remove if it so but I think it's relevant.

There's a woman at work [black - this is relevant] who has always been problematic. In fact, in a site of lovely people, she's the most problematic here. Some examples of things she has done over time:

Accessed the site keys multiple times [the safe was temporarily broken] to go to parts of the site she shouldn't
Locked herself in rooms during the day so she could sleep
Brought a toaster onto site [a big no-no] and then lied about the fact that she had removed it
Brought a small oven onto site and then lied about the fact that she had removed it
Was told not to go into the meeting room for any reason without paying, and then went into the meeting room

There are more.

The latest thing was yesterday when she started shouting across the office about how she doesn't like some of the actions management have taken recently [management are very fair and are generally well-liked]. This upset a staff member who made a complaint about her.

This woman's response? The complainant was racist and she was going to fight this through higher management.

I really can't believe some people.

Do other people receive the same treatment? I.e. no 'other' people have had a blind eye turned for bringing their own fan heater from home, or coffee machine? Is it really unreasonable to have a toaster at work that you should prevent her? Or should you just arrange a PAT test like any other office manager running a break room would have?

If she was locked in the room, how do you know she was sleeping?

Are other people allowed in the meeting room "without paying"? (what does that even mean)?

It's company policy not to have toasters because they have caused fires at other sites.

It has a window pane.

Everyone has to pay because the meeting room is owned by another leaseholder. It's absolutely ridiculous behaviour on their part, but unfortunately that's the way it is.

Sounds like her line manager just needs to write her up. Unfortunately you can't refer to these transgressions as a reason to nullify her complaint, as presumably all of the things you have listed were not dealt with properly.

Turns out being a dick isn't exclusive to race.
....not being allowed a bloody toaster!
It's really not, while that maybe OK in SME businesses most large to massive businesses would not allow you to bring in your own electrical equipment simply because of the potential legal repercussions if someone got hurt, either accidentally or accidentally on purpose.

The policy about bringing your own kit is fair enough but no toaster? Savages. What's next? No nesspresso machine? The days of the panini maker will be numbered, too!

IIRC the no toaster rule at a place I used to work was because people would regularly burn stuff and set off the fire alarms, meaning the whole building would have to evacuate (and that was in One Canada Square, so not a trivial exercise).

Nice of you to miss out the teachers asking very young children who's parents are police officers about doing a essay on cop killing.
Or the teacher calling some people "Pasty"

Or calling the children names if they don't support blm ect.
And The 2 named teachers that want to back an illegal group.

You know what's that called? selective listening.

Now if that was a trump supporter you would be having a right go.
