I've got a DAS 6 pro and a Medium Heavy Cutting pad and a light medium polishing pad that I bought ages ago one a whim. But now I'm thinking I'm gonna polish and wax the car next week.

Can anyone recommend some polish and wax I can use with this?

Also, can I wax the car with the DAS6 or is that just for polish? Sorry for being a total n00b, any advice is appreciated.

Seconded on Scholl S20 black. You can wax the car with it but you'd need a soft pad (usually a black one) and it's not really worth it.

Bought a new car as we’ve had a child and it’s obvious the Polo just wasn’t going to be practical enough.

So today was the first clean. Although it looks clean in the picture it became apparent it wasn’t as clean as it seemed. So a quick pressure wash and shampoo meant it was ready for a full decon.

Probably the dirtiest car I’ve ever owned and goes to show it might look clean to a dealer, but it probably isn’t if it’s done properly.

On to a polish with some cherry glaze which I’m quite impressed by.

Tomorrow it shall be sealed and then waxed but I’m happy for today.

Nice job with cleaning the Civic, car is good too.

I have an older generation, 8th. Massive boot for what look like a small car. I too got it because had our son arrive a couple of months ago.

I've not had the chance to spend time to properly give it a clean.

Tempted with the Turtlewax Trio - One for me and one as a perfect Birthday gift.

Although watched an interesting video on Hybrid Solutions Flex Wax vs Seal n Shine.

5L of Seal n Shine for £24 - I’m trying to buy products in 5L / 5L Concentrate to condense my collection and be more organised and efficient when cleaning cars. Such product in 5L form would last me a hell of a long time.

About to pull the trigger on the new Autobrite Pro Bottles (Basically a copy of IK Spray Bottles)

My intention is to have commonly used products for each stage in these bottles all labelled up.

Autobrite Purple Rain for iron fallout.

Autobrite Just the Tonic for tar although I’m not really a fan of it.

And Bilt Hamber medium clay.

I bought an Autobrite sample kit which is well worth a try. Albeit it was on offer when I picked it up.

If I were to use Megs Gold class shampoo in a in a pump Foamer will it give me decent foam or do I need a dedicated foam product like BH Auto Foam?

For application on wheels. If rather stick to one product if possible.

I imagine it would provide a good consistency of foam.

Can’t imagine it would work out particularly economical though?

In my IK Foamer I’ve used the following with great success.

Autobrite Wheel and Tyre
Autobrite Citrus Wash

Roughly 100 ML Product and the rest water. Picture below is Citrus Wash at the above ratio.

That looks great.

That citrus wash is about £12 a litre so about the same price if not more than the gold class shampoo?

Ah you probably buy the 5L for £26?

I’d give it a go if you already have it and see how it goes.

I imagine it will produce thick foam.

I actually paid £18 for 5L - But those days are gone

Yes will do. I have 2 bottles of the gold class from previous sales.

£18!...That was a mega price.

Also how far do you fill up the IK.... 1 Litre or 1.25?

Same with Britegel - I paid £16.91 for 5L which is now £32

Then if for whatever reason you aren’t happy you can always pick up something with more of a bite to use for wheels.

I usually fill up 1 Litre but you will notice as the Foamer empties you can pump more pressure into it and get longer sprays of foam as less liquid more room for air/pressure.

It foamed pretty well bit didn't have enough bite as you say for my inner barrels as per below...

Do you reckon the AB citrus cleaner will be tough enough or is there a chemical one I can try.

Also it was my first try with the EZ wheel brush. Have to say it's great and makes barrel cleaning so much easier than trying to use a hand and sponge.

thanks, so would i just use this with the DAS6 pro? I wouldn't need to separately wax and polish it?

Sorry for being dumb
