Just woke up and checked a couple of Nvidia slides, good news on pricing it seems, atleast for everyone not buying the 5090, the bad news is we now get framegen on steroids.

No wonder AMD pulled their launch if they got wind of the pricing.

The only feature of DLSS4 that is exclusive to rtx5000 is the "4x Frame Generation". All other dlss4 features is available on RTX2000/3000/4000

5080 needs to be a fair bit cheaper with only 16GB VRAM, the rest aren't terribly priced assuming they are about that at retail.

That’s because you’re a 90 class buyer, this gen looks like Nvidia is stabilising pricing at the new higher tier for everyone else while hiking up the 90 class.

I was surprised to see the 5070 for $549, I thought it would be more than that.
Shame it still only has 12 GB of VRAM, but a compelling option for many people.

That will make AMD think carefully about what it prices the 9070 series.
They may well have to price the 9070 series very aggressively, as, IIRC,
the main aim at the moment is to increase market share (like Intel and BM).

From team green, I think the highest I would consider is the 5070Ti.

I haven't watched the presentation yet since I thought it was being shown at 5 am here. On the pricing, it would have been great to have seen the 5090 at £1500, but that is wishful thinking on my part. There is no way I'll pay 2 grand for a graphics card, even on finance. I may opt for the 5080, which could be used on the AI side since I'm not a big gamer these days.

In regards to AMD, their marketing yesterday was crap, unless they can now gauge a price for their own new graphics cards, only time will tell.

5080 is almost a dumb purchase, that's why they're not launching the 5070Ti at the same time I guess.

Presuming a 1000w psu is not enough for a 5090? That effectively forces my hand in going for a 5080 (upgrading from 3080) if I don’t want to change the PSU

Or God forbid, something more than 16GB but not quite 24GB (if they didn't want to step on the xx90 cards of yore) like 20GB (as wrong as that looks). It at least has a spot for use then; either AI, or performance.

That said, that anti-bend frame looks interesting (although I expect other AIBs will do the same).
