As for side notes, Woodgate injured? Surely not??

N-Power advert before kickoff cracked me up, great day to use Wembley stadium for advertising :)

Great player, Dodgy body. Could this put his WC place in jeopardy? I think that performance may have just got Cesc on the plane to Germany.

People are happy to accept that, the original point was when do you accept your no longer currently the best european team

Liverpool became the champions of europe although they werent the best team in Europe; the best way to see who is the best would be to have a proper European league. Its just really hard for a team to go through and win the CL; its just a cup competition at the end of the day but the toughest to probably win, and we won it :D . I dont think its about being the best team in Europe because the CL doesnt measure that; the next team to win the CL are the next European Champions, not the best team in Europe.

On an England note, it's almost worrying how Sol, Rio and now Woody have all gotten injured or dropped a lot of form recently, just before a World Cup. Our main pairing for years and a player that has the potential to be England's best, all out. I say "almost" though, because we do still have Terry, Carragher and King left, so we should manage. ;)

Oh, i forgot to add. Comisserations Liverpool. If Benfica score at Anfield then you're out because there's no way you'll score 3.
You obviously missed the Champions League final last year or the 2 games against Bayern Leverkusen or the Olympiakos game. Im pretty sure we scored 3 times then even with Baros as our only recognised striker as well. Or did i dream all that?

Well a good result in the end for Milan, They will go to the San Siro which is going to be a tough place to play for Bayern. I hope Milan don't fluff it at home :o
Dida also was stretched off which hopefully only looks like a sprained ankle.
With Maldini, Cafu & Ambrosini back, as well as the support of the home croud, i cant see Milan fluffing it up myself. Although we'll soon see, im not counting my chickens yet.
Unfortunatelly, i only watched the first half, then listed to the 2nd on Uefa.com. So i missed the goals. Highlights best be on later.

Oh, and one for BoomAM: Peter Drury confirmed this evening that Flamini is indeed Arsenal's 8th choice leftback :)
Must be right then. ;)
Look on the bright side lads, at least i brought a smile to your faces. Which was my intention all along. :p

Who can play who in the next round anyway?

Who were out of curiosity?

Liverpool fans are still on that high from last May. They think it will kick start them into a new era of 'glory years'. Yeah right. :p :D

Might shock you to hear this from me but ill be very suprised if we progress, hope we do obviously, but we just dont have the cutting edge to do it. If Benfica force an away goal, we'll need to score 3 and thats just not gonna happen, scoring 2 looks like a mountain as it is.

'apparently' you have to have a history and to have supported the club for more than 5 minutes to make comments like that. You can't buy european cups mate.

5 european cups, 18 leagues...hush.

hopefully barca will knock you out
Well done dobbsy for telling him straight and i hope Chelski get a footballing lesson from Ronaldiho and Co
