Clash of Clans

Never really wanted to get this till your post in the android forum the other day. I've started last night and I'm level 7, any advise on quickly getting to lv50? Also I have an iPad and Android phone and I was thinking I could make an alt on my iPad and just attack my main and lose, does that generate exp? I've done this in past on mobile mmo games.
 
You can make another account yes, but sadly you can't go attack yourself. The opponent is random.

There's no real quick way to get to 50 other than buying gems which is exactly what Supercell want you to do!
 
Ahh I see, was hoping you could attack your friends xD. And yeah the game really seems to centre around Gems for any real progression, guess I'll just grind it out for awhile then join you guys. It does seem like hmm fun I guess haha.
 
I'd like to play this game, but it doesnt like my jailbroken device - it just hangs on the initial screen.. Any workaround for this?

I suggest you try again! Usually mine only hangs on the initial screen at work, it doesnt seem to like the wifi or its restricted. All i do is turn off wifi whilst im at work and all is ok :D

Im currently grinding it out, its slow but rewarding. Waiting for my TH to upgrade to 7 at the moment with max coins and elixir in the waiting.

When I switch off Wifi it complains about not being able to connect to server.. It hangs on the initial Loading screen.

I downloaded it after I had jailbroke the device. I have installed it on my S4 now, but I suspect the play is much better on a large screen (my ipad, where it failed to work).. Oh well..

OK I think the problem is down to Wifi.. I tried the game on a 3G iPad and it initially hung on the first loading screen.. However when I disabled the Wifi and left it on 3G only it worked.. Strange, or what? :)
 
Well my 3day shield is up, think I have a half decent set up so going to start attacking people :). Any advice? I'm guessing I need to take a few wall bakers, use the giant dude and small warriors as tanks and drop some archer behind them.
 
Lv3, just started 3 days ago. So far its ok defend 4 and broke 3 TH so far. I just have a small walled in section with my TH, and attacking towers + gold vaults. Going to chill at TH Lv3 till I max all my towers I think.

What i normally do is max out all my walls, attacks and defense before leveling up my town house. I also try to time it so that my coin & elixir storage is maxed out once the TH upgrade is complete.
