I suspect that its the weight of the cooler pulling away from the CPU at the top causing worse contact... if you put you rig on its side so the weight of the cooler pushes down onto the CPU does that improve your temps?

Ok, other lapped cooler now on with a rice size tim and spread it using cling film.

I checked seating, temps are the same as follows:

77-74-69-69

The temps will be on the high side as it is a new TIM application. Did you lie the case flat as Pneumonic suggested?

Take 1.7V off the Northbridge back to 1.55V you cant do 1.7V on air surley

I've tried the system on its side and made no difference whats so ever, so as a test I went back to my original bios (0603) and that made no difference.

I then stuck everything back to default apart from the memory voltage and the temps are the same but not going so high.....

Idle: 42-42-38-38
Load: 60-60-55-55

Something aint right or the cooler aint doing its job.

Is there only one way this Freezer fits? I have the fan facing the memory extracting air to the back of the machine.

what sort of case cooling do you have? it maybe that the hot air is not being recycled quick enough driving your load temps up

None cos the case side and top is off the machine, but when its all in place I have a fan in the glass side.

do you have the stock cooler still? could put that on and make a comparison rule out the heatsink

Didn't have a stock cooler, the cpu is OEM.

The tube Im using is over 3 plus years old, could it be that?

Possibly, also depends on how it has been stored. For example i store mine in the fridge nozzle down wards to allow the watery liquid to rise above the actual TIM

Searching around information seems to be approx 1 year shelf life opened and refrigeration after opening

Ummmm.

Mine is over 3 years plus old and stuffed in a draw full of tools on its side.

Just ordered a new tube just in case but have to wait a few days.

When you receive the new TIM nozzle end it and leave standing in that position for a couple of hours to allow the watery liquid to run backwards and refrigerate afterwards.

hopefully the new TIM will show improvement over the present temps.
