Im not talking about BF3 and BF4 engine. As yes, they are more or less the same engine. No different from what the COD team does with the IW Engine.

When the BF team decided to take on the COD series. They created the Frosbite Engine and had to build it from scratch because they now had to code for consoles. They didnt take their old Refractor Engine from the older BF games and enchance that for the new BF series otherwise it would have stayed on PC only.

Every year a new COD is relased ID Software get a cut of profit as its still the old ID Tech Engine being used as the underly code.

Just managed to fix my texture issue. By installing a GTX 970 ???????

Just installed one to test before a build and it works fine all textures as normal.
 
No idea I even tried a 780 and had the same issue. Just installed the 970 and latest drivers and it works fine. The game told me that my hardware had changed and re-set settings so maybe that has fixed it.

Will try my 290 again later and see if it works ok.
 
The game runs like crap on my system doesn't seem smooth at all

8gig ram, i5 2500k, 770 sli. Upgraded to the latest drivers

not using super sampling

any one got any ideas
 
only way i can seem to get it running decent is running optimal setting which make the game look pretty bad :(

Got the same issue but I'm running it on a 670 in SLI. Not sure SLI is working correctly even after installing the drivers released yesterday.

Yeah thinking the same

Might try disabling sli see how it goes one 770 should run the game fine :S
 
I'm playing on "Optimal" and I must admit, I think it looks great and plays really smooth...
That's at 1920x1200 on a 7970...
