COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

On the subject of this pos map though, has anyone decapitated all the dummies yet? Somethings meant to happen when you do though ive no idea what.

You get a Rolling Stones song playing out of all the speakers, from watching it on YouTube. I tried shooting them all in a training mode match and nothing happened though. Not sure if I missed one or if it only works online.

Or do you need to shoot the dummies who are outside the bounds of where you can walk, but are still within range of your weapons?

The dev just said every dummy on the map has to get decapitated.

I was on a server in the wee small hours this morning playing TDM,can't remember name of server,i'll check in 'recents' when I run game again. Admin was throwing all sorts of messages in,which I was trying my best to ignore so that I could concentrate more fully on getting killed! I couldn't help inadvertantly reading some messages though and one of them read something along the lines of 'jumping to avoid enemy fire will get you kicked'.

I''ll admit players that prance around like ballerinas do get on my wick, but it's quite easy to take them down whilst they're in mid air and at the end of the day they're only using the inbuilt game mechanics, there is a jump button and so they use it! it's not cheating or hacking,I can't see how an admin can justifiably kick someone for using a completely legal feature of the game, anyone else think this is a case of an overbearing admin?

It makes me laugh when I see some of the silly rules come up with by server admins who blatantly just suck at the game... anyone jumping or bunny hopping makes themselves a huge predictable target if you can't anticipate and kill them you fail horribly.

I don't know why, but there's virtually NO tubing so far in this game! Surely it can't be just that it costs 3k to unlock because money isn't exactly hard to get.

It's nice, though. In fact as much as I don't think this game is much of an improvement on MW2 I can't think of a weapon which is cheap like the akimbo g18s, tube and models of MW2.

I see a bit of tubing tho not as much as MW2 so far... imo tho the underslung GL should be harder to get - to unlock it for that weapon you should have a minimum of 200 kills, 50 headshots and 2 other unlocks.

I think we all have particular weapons or tactics which we dislike others using. IMO tube is legitimate and you shouldn't complain about it unless you are on a server which has rules prohibiting it.

Doesn't bother me unless someone is doing it over and over and over - because I could just swap to it to counter them and it would be no fun for anyone.

Only thing I don't like much is second chance aka last stand as theres a short invulnerability delay and some people seem to be able to shoot back during it :( so I fairly get the drop on them but then can't kill them and they kill me.

I agree. The only time I hated the tube in MW2 was when it was literally the only weapon a player would use. There was this guy I used to encounter a lot, I must have played with him 10-15 times, and he ALWAYS used the tube - and I mean always. Bullets were very much a secondary concern. He was pretty proud of it too when people slagged him off.

Shame I can't remember his name.

Gay18 akimbo users have no place in this world however!

Nothing wrong with using the tube, it involves more skill now than in MW2 due to a lack of Danger close.

Not as many about because it isn't as easy to kill with it.

I remember I nerd raged at someone using G18s once. He said dude, have you ever used them? After that I loaded up G18s, I never turned back. I have fast reaction speed and a "ok" aim and with G18s I used to rape.

Yes I used to get abuse for using them, but I loved it.

Just tried it in a single player match and nothing, must be online only.

no g18 akimbo should never have been in the game... watch a few videos of someone using them IRL its literally impossible to dual wield them for the average person.

They were too cheap for me. I like to earn my kills :p:p:p

Dual shotguns would be near impossible to use in real life as well but theyre in this. :p

Yes, what not everyone realises is you do need skill to use it. Against enemies who are too close, you need to hit them directly with it which isn't easy. Fire it slightly behind them and it often doesn't kill either. And the time to reload or switch to another weapon is slow even with sleight of hand.
