Yeah Treyarch's World at War had a mediocre SP in my opinion so this may be the same, but like most I am getting this for the MP primarily.
 
Yeah, game makers are only really concerned about the MP nowadays because thats the main selling point, and they have to have some sort of SP experience because if they didn't we would complain :D
 
I was really surprised when the guy I preordered BO with in a well know high street game store said: "It's free to preorder at the moment". I asked if you usually have to pay and he said "Yes." :eek:

I didn't ask how much, but what a ****take!

Anybody paid for a preorder before?

that's odd, you sure the money doesn't come off the price on purchase..?

lol the graphics in this are very nice even on eggbox :D

seen a lot of the single player and on good settings this will be the bet looking cod yet.
 
cant wait for this now... looks like my next FPS for the year to tune my middle aged fail reactions and skills on.
 
really looking foreword to this now, loving how there are a lot of people praising and anticipating this game now, haters seem fewer and far between, musnt be fashionable to hate cod any more :D

mp should be epic, lots of fun and more control over the servers, cant wait to fill my favorites list with some decent servers!!

be glad to have at least a chance to have cheat free gaming and have some free choice in where i play it, looking foreword to playing with some of you guys!

Same, but I just hope flmaethrowers and ballistic knives aren't as tupid as they sound!
 
What is everyone else gonna do re the single player, will you complete it first before touching the MP? That's what I did with MW2 and I did it in a single afternoon. I figured that playing MP first would act as a kind of spoiler to the campaign.

Then again I was keen to find out what happened next following on from MW, and this time it's a new story which probably doesn't have the same impact so I dunno if I'll be hooked enough to do the campaign in one go.
 
I usually do the SP to get a feel for things and learn the weapons. Then I play MP and realise it's totally different!
 
install> launch mp> set-up game> frag!

Have done the same with every cod game and i have them all.

always play through the sp but generally a few days after first installation.

as for ballistic knives and flamethrowers, they will have there place aslong as there well balanced, flamethrowers will be very short throw and ballistix knives i have no doubt will punish you severely if you miss, probably short distance with a dropping trajectory arc, either way i cant see them making or breaking the game.
 
One of the things that turned me off about MW2 was the sheer amount of kill steak add on's - whole rounds of choppers and air strikes was just a huge put off.
