i haven't had a problem since day 1.
After going back and trying the SP again last night I was so annoyed that I uninstalled the whole game.
It was that part where you go to the Pentagon and pointlessly meet JFK. In about 20-25 minutes playtime I pressed the mouse button once. Goodbye BO, goodbye Treyarch; please rot in Hell.
It sounds dramatic, but I really consider my £30 to be stolen. It was a sub-standard, totally unfinished game sold with false claims and no chance of a return or refund. How the Hell do they get away with that!?

I know what you mean. The problem is with PC games these days is that they're nearly all locked to accounts, or have DRM which makes it impossible to return or sell on, so when you get a turkey you can't get rid of it.
It's even worse now that the prices are increasing to console levels, and we don't get the demos that console owners get so we can't try them out before we buy.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. I actually thought the COD 4 and 5 single player campaigns were awesome. The blackops single player IMO was just one stupid movie clip to the next. It had a good story but I felt like I was just part of the audience, along for the ride. It kind of makes sense given the the fact that you are remembering events that have already happened.
Now back on topic. I did try MW2 again yesterday and dammm it felt slow. Also when running it felt weird - it's hard to explain. I did have about an hours fun on S&D though. I was also told that there are now almost equal numbers of people playing on MW2 as BFLOPS. My guess is that when everyone's server subscription expires, allot of clans will go back to MW2.

I really wish they would drop cod on pc, its what they want to do anyway. To think what it has become since 2003 is just sad. Hope you are proud Activision, and no doubt when you have milked it to death you'll hop onto the next best thing and destroy that too.

It doesn't need to be dropped, you either buy it or you don't.
If people didn't want to buy it on PC then it would be dropped.
What can be done though? I wish the BO gamers would unite somehow and make their plight known. But it's like someone mentioned earlier: there'll be another million idiots ready to buy the next CoD no matter how **** it is.
For me, I'll never pre-order a game again. BO and Empire Total War have made me think twice about trusting franchises I'd previously loved. I wish we could make a statement about it because these ****s are laughing all the way to the bank.

Am I the only person who is grateful for this game after having to put up with MW2, which was incredibly poor in comparison? I, along with many others, have had absolutely no technical issues with the game crashing or anything, and the gameplay is so much more balanced at stock than MW2 was.
I know that it is still a step down from CoD2 and CoD4 which I still play regularly, but this is by no means the terrible game that you make it out to be.

Balanced ?? Are you serious?
Easy enough to say, but I'm running a i7 with a clean Win 7 install and every other game in my Steam list runs perfectly. So that leads me to believe it's the game, oh well, maybe I'll try a re-install at some point.

that's what EA did with Tiger Woods, dropped it from PC, now look what they offer! a friggin BROWSER based game that you can play on facebook ffs

oh i also agree. This game easily destroys MW2, in my eyes, no problems. I really haven't gotten into a cod game like this since cod4

peronally, no lagging, no host cutting, no huge waiting for lobbies.
but lack of more than 4 roudns on SND REALLY annoys me, wish there were servers with more. and lack of creating a class between maps.

I'm in the same boat as some of you. CoD BO is almost exactly the game I was hoping a CoD game to be at this point. Can't expect it to be the next coming of Counter-Strike but BO really delivered. It fixed every horrible problem I had with MW2 with one exception: while there's dedicated servers now (making the game actually playable combined with fixed FOV), there are no Finnish dedicated servers because Gameservers doesn't operate here. So while dedicated servers are a huge plus, I have rather bad, up to 50ms latency to closest available servers. Same was true in BC2 for six months or so but there are finally better servers available in that one. Sadly I don't think Gameservers has any plans to expand here so BO will never achieve perfect playability.
