COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

I prefer the extra killstreak rewards in MW2, some of the aditional perks and some other changes to the perks.

Do miss some of the weapons from COD4 like the G36C tho.
 
Just got this on PC after having it on PS3 since launch... Anyone have any tips on any game settings I should change to enhance the graphics/multiplayer experience?

On my old dual core I had to play with no shadows and no bullet holes to get a steady FPS. That was before the last few optimization patches though so I don't know if it will still have any affect.

Whats your system specs?

I'm getting good FPS so I was wondering if I could change in the config file to make it look even better?
 
Just picked up CoD4 after reading advice on these boards. The graphics are a bit dated now but it is SO much better than BO it's unreal. Getting a start on the MP side, too and it's already an improvement.

Think I need to update some PBuster stuff though as I keeping being kicked :/

really? I didnt there was much visually between cod4 mw2 and blops :confused:
 
There isn't a huge difference between them visually. MW2 has much higher quality textures (potentially) thanks to texture streaming, some new shaders but nothing major and higher resolution shadow maps.

Black Ops is closer to COD4 except some higher texture resolution, generally higher mesh/geometry detail and some more advanced lighting technology (tho not as well used as the lighting in COD4 in terms of ambient/environment light, haze, etc.).
 
Just installed this after not playing for a few months. Runs a lot better but still feels sluggish and slow. The 360 version is perfect but I hate playing on a console.

Pretty shocking tbh. Still can't believe I actually bought it.
 
I'm fairly certain 90% of the problems are sound related. I run around with a sniper rifle or shotgun relatively stutter free. Soon as i break out an Ak7 or ak47u and start firing it's simply horrible
 
Ok, yes NukeTown is a good map, I like it.... But when its the only map for Domination it's a bit annoying. All the servers are something like 'DOM 24/7 NUKE' - Never any other maps... grrrr
