Stock HP drivers doesn't work.
Official 13.4 mobility drivers doesn't work.
Beta 10.4 drivers doesn't work.
Stock Win 8.1 are the only stable ones but only uses the Intel IGP.
Switchable graphics is dead on my laptop, everything I try I can't get the damn laptop to use the 7670M. CCC refuses to load in all instances as well saying it can't detect the GPU. Googling around it seems to be a common problem between AMD's switchable graphics and Win 8.1. I'll leave it for now and wait for either AMD or HP to release something compatible. At least gaming on the HD 4000 is not too bad...
Best bet is to try the leshcat drivers. I have switchable graphics as well and this is the one thing im dreading with 8.1
The fact the issue is so widely seen tells me that once again Microsoft cant do anything right. Morons. Simple.
Im uninstalling it and putting win8 back on. 8.1 is broke. It has nothing to do with my Gugabyte board or any ASRock or ASUS or MSI products others have the same issue with. The fact the issue is so widely seen tells me that once again Microsoft cant do anything right. Morons. Simple.
Hopefully they will see this and have a look into it... Can but only hope.
Widely seen? I think you are the only person in this thread with the problem after installing GA rollup 1.
I've upgraded via store, but I've found a silly thing, the "remove everything and reinstall windows" feature won't work without a win 8.1 disk...
lucky I burnt win 8.1 rtm on a dvd.
Just tried to do this myself and it failed as well without the 8.1 install media. Another ridiculous situation, I've updated to 8.1 and want to do a system reset but cannot do it, MS won't provide the media it seems unless you buy a full 8.1 license today or have access to MSDN etc.
u could just download the leaked win8.1 rtm.iso. it only has to vilify it, it doesn't take any files from it.
8.1 changed my keyboard to US (could not login until I changed that)
Broke my monitor scaling (had to reinstall CCC)
