In that post Gibbo is referring to the X6800 processors, which are in stock but the page says they'll ship on the 24th. Ozzy, in his post was referring to E6400 upto the E6700 :p.

Yea my point was that they are all showing as arriving on the 24th, but there has been total silence with the status of the E6400-E6700 chips.

Even if Gibbo said "we have no idea" that would be something.

Yeah, I think Gibbo said in another thread that he was trying to bring the arrival of the E6600 earlier, but I guess he wasn't able to do so. They should be here on the Monday like the website states, otherwise it would have changed.

I'm wondering on the status of the E6300 as they are also now showing as in stock, when i originally phoned and asked i was told they were indeed in stock but then the rep back tracked and said it was an error, although the error still hasn't been corrected :(

What if it isn't an error :o. Hehe maybe its just to keep intel happy ;). Not shipping early that is!

Anyone seen a review of the ds4 or ds3?

The oem 6300 looks very reasonable, funny how things change so quick. Its 50 pounds cheaper then the 6400 and almost half the price of the e6600.

I would say that dont have a clue as we seem to be ignored when we ask about them. :p

we're either being ignored because they don't have a clue or because it is in fact a marketing ploy to make people change their order to the X6800 like I said before (a ploy which seems to be working).

Don't get me wrong, it's a perfectly clever economical ploy but for someone like me and other people like me who's already spent £900 at OC on several components it's very unsatisfying.

Of course, it may not be a ploy, but it just seems weird that Intel, one of the biggest, most reliable companies in the world would fall back on their word regarding OC's apparent exlusive 'get it hear first' agreement, especially considering the processor in question is both the median priced product and the most popular.

If I were the guy in the position to choose what to sell and when I wouldn't think twice about offloading the entry levels and higher-priced products first.

Not trying to make it sound like a big conspiracy but I just think it's annoying that while £900 has been removed from my bank account I haven't recieved any products in 2 weeks, I probably wont be recieving any in the next week or so and the sales personel (via webnote) either can't tell me anything, wont tell me anything or ignore my query completely.

P.S: I hope this post doesn't sound angry, I'm not...I'd just like to know when I'm getting my £900 worth of components.

Hi there

Update:-
E6300 OEM - In stock but can't be shipped or collected until Monday, rules lay down by Intel.
E6300 Retail - More info Monday
E6400 Retail - More info Monday
E6600 Retail - More info Monday
E6700 Retail - More info Monday
X6800 Retail - In stock and not supposed to ship until 24th but we keep sneaking them out. ;)

On the E6400 - E6700 range I can't get any kind of ETA so will have to wait to see what happens on Monday to see if Intel ship any stock or not into us, whatever happens we shall be pushing very hard. :)

Oooo - that's not going to make the natives happy.
Just remember guys - if OcUK don't get the stock then it will probably be the same story all over.
Also most stores will have pre-orders so even cancelling your OcUK order will simply place you at the back of some other companies pre-order list.

I've personally not ordered my CPU yet and will probably wait to see a "In available stock" at an e-tailer before I do.

Well its not all bad news yet, just gotta wait until Monday as then I will know. Fact is stock could arrive in big numbers on all SKU's its just unknown yet.

Much appreciated on the update Gibbo, i feel much better about waiting now i know whats going on with them at your end of things. I figured this was the case anyway, but even though your news may not seem like news to you its good to know from our point of view.. It was just when you were being so enthusiastic about the x6800's being in stock and ignoring all the queries about whats was happening with the others that it got annoying.

At least from my point of view (but then i'm always right, so thats what counts :D). Keep up the good work sir.

Yes, but the guys who pre-ordered have paid the pre-order levy to get their chips on day #1, and they'll have paid that extra for nothing if they don't get their chips (or have them dispatched) on the 24th.
I presume OcUK will drop their conroe prices after the 24th, to match other e-tailers, but if stock isn't available on launch day, those who pre-ordered will have paid the extra for nothing.
