Conroe now available from OcUK!

I don't find it at all hard to believe. Customer service is what makes the difference is this very price competetive market, I have had a call after I bought a monitor just to check if everything was fine.

Bah, just got my DFI (from DFI as a repair) back ready for next weeks conroe goodness, and its still bloody well dead!

DFI have had it for around 3 weeks now, but in total its over a month since purchase. What would you do? Demand a replacement from ocuk, or send it back to DFI again?

well tbh your contract is with the retailer, not DFI you are entitled to send it back and request a replacement by law

same thing happened to me except with a samsung monitor...
recieved brand new monitor after ordering///lasted 2 hours then bang..
samsung only offered me a refurbished monitor...got back to ocuk they replaced it next day

I certainly hope so. The first time they offered me an RMA but then quickly changed this and told me to send it over to DFI (as explained on the OCUK website). I certainly hope they co-operate :D

Yeah I know, but they point blank refuse, so I spent £2500 with a different retailer...and I must admit I really did notice a massive difference in customer service, especially seens as they phoned to make sure everything was ok with my order the day I received it.

I was most impressed

If it's who i think it is,they often phone me as well to check on condition of parcels when received.Never had a problem with them either if anything was missing.

by law they have to cooperate, i had this issue with another e-tailer, i wrote them a stroppy email detailing the sale of goods act and distance selling rights etc they changed there stance and accepted the goods back and gave me back my money, which i will just say was spent at OCuk on a 7900GT which i have been very happy with

The way I read the DFI order T&Cs (and I am not a solicitor) very clearly says that by agreeing to purchase a DFI board from OcUK you are agreeing to dealing directly with DFI for all warranty claims. You have already demonstrated acceptance of this by sending your board back to DFI for repair once. My understanding of UK legislation is that you have rights, but that you can agree to waive them and I have a horrible feeling that your only course of action here is to return the board to DFI again.

I think if you had insisted the first time that OcUK RMA the board, you would have had a 100% solid case now, but as it stands, I reckon you're accepted that you have to deal with DFI.

I never buy anything that is direct-RMA as it just seems wrong somehow.

while they say that your contract is still with OCuk and they cannot change that if they are selling you the good, whatever they say on the website.

Sounds like they aren't coming in Monday then..

Surprised to see the 6300's slip back as well - oh well. :)

Agreed, there is nothing anyone can do to alter your statutory rights no matter what they get you to agree to on the website.
