Absolutely! It would confirm it's fate.

Pics make it look like an outboard aileron, it's tough to guess not being an engineer or a 777 pilot, but it's certainly off the wing and not big enough to be a part of the flap.

I do hope it is MH370, if I'm honest it's not every day you find T7 ailerons in the sea...
 
Even if this does turn out to be from the missing 777, it's still a huge mystery. In fact, the piece in question was found so far away from where they're looking (even taking into account currents) that it would only add to the conundrum, imo.

A lot nearer Diego Garcia than the search site. *conspiracy theory*

Edit: Just to add to it, the prevailing currents would have tended to take something from Diego Garcia to those islands as well. Could be some interesting theories come out!
