There's definitely more to this than we're being told. Especially since we were told they can't tell us everything they know.

They called the passengers' mobiles and nineteen connected. Nineteen? Something is up.

Well there is an interesting story behind that actually. A couple of years ago I was ████ ██████ █ █████ ██████ ███ ███████ ██ ███████ ████ and then before I knew it I was █████ ██ ███████ ██████ ███████ ████████ and so that is why I █████ ███ ██████ ██████

The Americans also did that back in the 80's, they mistook an Iranian A300 Airbus for an F14 & shot it down.

You need to be very close to land to even get connected, and the small issue that phones don't work in water unless all 19 are Sony ones?! :p
and...its been 4 days and modern phones last like 24 hours if your lucky.


and why the hell arent they tracking the signal yet of these phones, the phone companies HAVE to know what mast they are connected with and be able to narrow the search to that range.

I think the media are confusing things like normal (everything has to be taken with a pitcher of salt). As the article I read it was supposedly only one that rang (according to a family member) but all attempts since by the police/search had got nothing.

Its obvious that the authorities are not going to disclose everything they know at this moment. Its a waiting game and so much speculation 'flying' about. Lets hope that the plane is found and obviously in one piece with all people safe! I guess the odds on that are low but if it did crash, where is the evidence? Surely some parts of the plane would be seen by now if it did indeed crash.
 
So basically it flew to a lower altitude, turned round, turned off its radar tracking then flew twice the distance back?

Not everyone has a modern phone. I have a cheap dumbphone and it will last for weeks without being recharged, depending on how much I use it. It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that someone on that flight also had a phone like that

I've worked it out.

Another, super jumbo came along and swallowed it up in it's fuselage, 007 style, or, a large volcano opened and the plane descended "harrier style" into a secret Nuclear missile Silo.

Simples
 
So we have

1 - instant evaparation
2 - instant teleportation
3 - missle strike
4 - nose dive into the ocean
5 - flew below radar and landed somewhere unknown
