Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

More likely u use open case at all times ? No side case to put it back on ? It will heat up more once you closed the case and that's what happen to my H50 soared up to 88C when I closed the case. If open the case, it drop to 81C.

I don't like intake hot air blow inside the case from H50.

The case was closed for the test. It was opened to prove I had one and the fans take air from inside the case and exhaust it out the back like any other cooler.
My HAF932 has a 230mm fan on the door anyway.
Mate I remember when you were telling everyone that the H50 was the best cooler ever and your temps were below 70c so just be quiet or prove your findings.

To be honest , I am not interesting of your re-test all over again. I do own my H50 but I just pre-order it for my mother pc and my friend's pc too. I only use H50 for normal pc running but I use my own Prolimatech Megahalems air cooler for gaming and overclocking. Full stop.

show us side by side and with prime95 cpuz realtemp results for both side by side.

Gaidin109 i think you could do with a bit of paint in that case ;) (joke)
i have a 140 and 120mm xigmatek fans and 140->120 convertor...could i use these on the h50 in push/pull?? ..would that work or just stick to 2x 120mm xgmateks in push/pull ??...

i have a h50 on preorder due to my true blocking my ram slot and being offered some ddr3 at good price :)

i think this temperature debate is a bit pointless in the sense the h50 does what it was designed to do ....match decent aircoolers on default setting and decent overclocks like 3.5 to 4.0.

... not sure why everone is jumping on the 4.2 thing :) might as well start a
"my h50 is better than your cooler at 4.4" or 4.6 thread :D

Although at 4.2-3ghz aint that entering full water kit arena??

i mean it does a brilliant job and does very well upto 4.0ghz from what i have seen from all online reviews and have not seen anything negative comment wise so bulldog why a 7/10 if it on par or slightly better than a true and also saves you some space in your case? or is the true considered crap in your book and graded 6/10 compared to h50 :D

i think the only way you going to get credible results that people are going to believe is if you start doing small videos :)

welcome to OcUK-UTube

cant wait for my h50 :D

kind regards

I would start with the 2 120mm and see how it goes. I'm not sure what the converters look like. I tried 2x 1900rpm scythe fans and all it did was increase noise. The 2x Apache gave me the best compromise between noise and temps.

I have used the fenrir, which I know some swear by, but I found it disapointing. The megahalems and the noctua I tried were better but with push pull are huge.

H50 isn't going to be suitable for a 24/7 4.2oc in my opinion but for 4ghz it's fine.

Hopefully we will get some others on here who can post some load temps with the exception of bulldog and his mothers pc. Lol.

And I agree, a black interior to the case would have been nicer.

Man is the H50 bashing still going on?

It does a job and a good one for £60, its cheaper then the swiftech H20 series of kits, frees up a lot of space that would normally be taken by huge arse tower coolers.

I for one wish this was out ages ago, as i would have gone for it over my H20-120.

Will it ever compete with custom water, no never, but was never intended to.

Lol closing the door will increase his cpu temps, mmm not on my case it dos'nt as having the door closed keeps the cool air in, and not go directly out of a massive gaping hole in the side lol.

And im sure gaidins would be the same, due to the Haf932 being Good with airflow.

Are we worried about how stable his rig is now or temp of his CPU?

I'm not concerned about stability, I'm concerned about the capability of the H50 to handle sustained loads. I have a Zalman Reserator that, from cold, would look phenomenal after 10 minutes because the water in the reservoir wouldn't all have been through the loop once in 10 minutes. Give it an hour and it would be struggling because it couldn't cope with the heat dump from the system. Also, the pump generates heat in itself which has to be dissappated and it would be interesting to see if long-term running had any effect on this.

I've had LOTS of cooling solutions, several of which looked suspiciously like the H50 in that it had a sealed system with the pump mounted on top of the CPU block and none of them were that good to be honest.

Best comment so far.

for me the h50 was just what was looking for, no brick on mobo, quiet & does a great job. lets me go to 4ghz (If Needed)with temps well under 70c, so cant be that bad lol. after using a scythe for a long while, the h50 blew it away. the true or other high end air coolers always end up that little more expensive, 2 x good fans, extra clips & if had 1366 board that would mean extra backplate as well. have ran a good few test & posted results, this on q9550, almost all other test's here seem to be on the i7 set up, so cant comment on that. as said after ran test if u have a true, Noctua ect would just keep, but the h50 a very good option as well, also big bonus is the use of extra sticks, that the big coolers seem to block on a lot of mobo's

this looks like an amazing cooler, im very tempted to buy seen as its less than £60 for an all in one WC system. and i can mount this thing on the top of my case in one of the 120mm fan slots, and save the other one for a gfx card loop in the near future (maybe they will bring out a graphics card version too, one can hope :D )

Any chance you could just leave Prime running for 1 hour so it definitely equlibrates? Pretty please?

no problem, here you go, slightly higher temps 75c max, but case temp was 2c higher as well (different ambient in the room), but still good enough compared to the aircoolers.

and before you point out the difference in between current and highest load temps, that is because I do not have Load Line Calibration enabled in the bios, so the voltage can vary, with this test it varied between 1.2v and 1.248v under load, this also has a knock on effect with the load temps which varied between 68c and 73c hitting 75c once when I was surfing.

If you read some reviews they all agree with you with the previous incarnations of all in one wc solutions. I also agree. But Corsair took the asetek pump setup and redesigned it thus it performs better than the coolit or other all in one 120mm solutions.
I bought one out of interest and was suprised that it performed so well.
it WILL NOT outperform a custom WC, but it cost £60 not £300.
hopefully they will release a 240mm with a more powerful pump in the future.

I think corsair will in the future. Probably next year. I think I had to agree with you over corsair must bring 240mm with a two fans of 140mm (1400RPM x 2) with a push pull and a powerful pump fan of up to 1600RPM) will do a great job.

Why is your Sky+ HD on top of your pc desk ? lol My sky+ HD is downstair with 50" plasma TV.

Fair point taken ! Good temperature ! Corsair H50 is good for anything up to 4.0Ghz with vcore at 1.25v at the bios but most cannot do 1.25v because of unstable. This is why if they push vcore to around 1.30v in the bios for 4Ghz as the temperature will go up to 80C something depend on their airflow case, room temperature etc.

my sky hd box is connected to a 46" panasonic full hd plasma, I have sky hd multi room, in the living I also have another plasma and hd box.

the one in my office is connected to a onkyo receiver with sky hd, computer, ps3 connected toghether with streaming via the PS3 and 2x zyxel homeplug wireless router bridged together. Kef 3001 7.1 speakers complement it all and the AE aego m's are for normal pc use, when I'm watching tv at the same time as working.

I dont know how old you are Bulldog, but I'm married with my own home, thus I dont have my computer equipment in my bedroom.

I had done full load blend test (one hour) of H50 at 4.2Ghz at 1.31vcore at bios. I had also set tjmax at '105' with realtemp compare to coretemp at '99' tjmax. So, it should be useful for anyones who cannot get it stable at lower vcore as I set at 1.31vcore at the bios to make it more stable for many of them, not just for myself. I had also use my memory ram 3 x 2gb of 1600Mhz at 1.65volt at 800Mhz, 2.8, 7.7.7.16.90.1T

I will stand up and say that I have 1/4 of my bedroom floor space covered with computer. I also have a 28" crt tv I bought for £20. It weighs a lot and doesn't have working buttons. Yes the missus hates this.

Proud to be a student :D

oh, I have a bicycle instead of multiple sports cars. I think I prefer this

lol, I am married too. Got sky HD multiroom, 3 pc's and 2 laptop's, 2 sportcars, 2 x plasma tv. Live in a big house (4 bedrooms). I probably had spend over £10,000 at ocuk for a year now. Too many cpu coolers and fans here. :) Going on holiday next year to Cyprus for 2 weeks with my family.

I have a villa in cyprus if you would like to borrow it....hahahaha (laughs ironically)

I love the quaint way you think 4 bedrooms equates to big house.

and you might want to trade one of those sportscars in for a new monitor, if your post in this thread is anything to go by....

excellent, my garage is the same, full of old stuff I pick up for pence thinking "yeah that'll be useful", the wife doesnt seem to share my views on this though, but then she has hundreds of shoes, yet only two feet so whos the strangest.

When I was at Uni, I couldnt afford a TV, busted or otherwise. But I did have a bike. In Oxford everyone has a bike (and an extra long scarf.!!) So You got one on me.....lol
