Didn't Custom PC magazine give this thing a really poor rating for AMD processors??

I haven't managed to pickup this months copy yet, but I am sure someone posted saying that on this thread?

Is it normal to have some rad fns bent a tad? 99% of the fins are perfect but the occasional one seems a bit off, or twisted.

And where in a rad does the water pass through, i was warned that putting a screw in too tight can puncture it, but all i see behind the screw holes is fins, not a water holding tube or anything.

Well I've finally fitted mine but not all the way as I am waiting on the CPU to arrive tomorrow. I have made a couple of short videos which I hope to upload tomorrow once I have it up and running. But all looking good so far.

I recived mine from ocuk today and it came with both brakets

the custom pc review for the amd used a different case to the intel one, iirc it had really chitty airflow which seemed to be the problem. They still gave it a poor rating though, sent my estimation of their objectivity right down.

If by both brackets I assume you mean the LGA 775 and 1366 cos that's exactly what I got with mine. If you look elsewhere, another site has the AMD version sold seperately to the Intel one...

I got mine yesterday, very impressed with its ability.

Have it in a push-pull config, which is now using dual Enermax UCCL 120mm. Works a charm.
3.2 OC and max temp I have had is 60 degrees with the fans turned practically off!

Has anyone set one of these up in a Coolermaster Elite 335 Case?

Mobo is a Asus P5Q Pro Turbo with a Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU.

If anyone has can you advise on what fan congiurations you tried and settled on?

could i ask what thermal compound you using? mx-2 .. mx-3..artic silver?
and what method you used for application? ..such as pea ...line...spread methods? cheers...

now i got the H5O and when my fans arrive im going to try some Tim consultants 0098 grease which is supposed to be very good stuff..

P.S ...i have been tomany hardware store/outlets looking for 4 more of these bolt/screws that come with the H5O but can get any even tho i was informed it was m3 size i couldnt find any exactly same with thread matching..all i found was slightly thinner and thread was more dense...:S are these custom ones??

well looks like my weekend of playing around with the cooler will have to wait as I still have not received my CPU. It was purchased from MM. I have been in contact with the seller twice now and have not heard anything back. Well here is hoping I do get it next week.

Who is james from stoke as I saw his comment about his h50 full load was amazing 51C for 27 hours !!!!! What the hell !!!!! how he can do that with 4.2 Ghz at 1.31vcore ? There is no way of full load at 51C ?

Well it dos'nt state what case/case cooling he has, or what fans he is using, that temp would'nt be to hard to get if he was using 1 or 2 delta's lol.

don't think james wouldn't use delta fan (as it 4000RPM) as he did metion 1200rpm with 1 fan ? Could be james (someone from OCUK) ?

He may only be doing small FFTs or something not stressing the CPU to its full potential.

Get in touch with the mod of that forum if you don't here anything, just to be safe that is.
Nothing against the guy you got it off(or will).
