Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

HI

I have just got the H-50 and using with stock fan on a i7-860 currently getting idle temps of 40 - 44c and load 65 -70c in a C690 II advanced

How are these temps and what fans are recommended for push pull config. Ideally want as quiet as possible.

Thanks

I'm running an i7 920 @4.0GHz with a Noctua NH-U12P S2 (or something like that) and the noise level is maddening. This is because my case is the worst one I could have picked for this build, as I was looking for silence (don't ask...).

It's an Antec Sonata Elite. No fans pulling in, only a single 120cm exhaust and that GPU fan it comes with.

Would the H50 reduce my noise levels as I could do away with the noisy exhaust fan and use the two Noctua fans with it to pull cool air in from the back? I'm trying to avoid going with a full-blown watercooling setup for the CPU now because of the work it involves and thought this might have been a good alternative. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Just got one off the MM.
Thinking of doing push pull and need to buy atleast some thermal paste.
Any recomendations for them?
Thinking about some fractal 120mm fans, or maybe 120mm Silverstone SST-AP12.

Dont really know.

I went with apaches also, and mounted the h50 in push pull on the top of the case. Running 4 apaches now, all exhausts. Have all 4 hooked into the motherboard fan header using an Akasa PWM fan controller cable (which supports 3 fans), and a pwm fan splitter (which supports 2 more). All powered by molex. Rest of fans are 140mm noiseblocker pro's, all intakes, including 2 I have on the sidepanel which I modded.

This is after a run with Intel Burn

Think it's a bit hot :( and not enough air flow in my Antec 300 due to it being full
is that with just the 1 stock corsair fan on the rad though ?

Hi,

No that was with my Noctua cooler, which has been removed along with everything else.

Got a Corsair 700D yesterday, Q9550 and RAM and it's all getting nicely put back together.

Will see how I get on with the Noctua and then look at changing to a H50 - maybe.

I'm not happy with my corsair h50, my cpu is idling around 45c more less.

I have 2 enermax twister fans on the radiator push/pull setup. I have 2 front intake fans and 2 top exhaust fans.

I'm thinking of replacing the 2 enermax fans with the 2 akasa viper fans or get the Noctua NH-D14.

Been looking around to look for peoples reading, God/Admin bless the search option I found this thread :p

so yeah I also having pretty high temp on my CPU reading 45-48 on idle, I've ordered 3 new fans to fill up the holes on my Antec 300 (2 intake front and 1 on the side door)

Currently the radiator on the H50 is being used as exhaust on rear with a pull and push setup using the shipped fans on both case and cooler. I tried to follow the instruction in the box... but I found out if I used it as intake a lot of dust, and I MEAN A LOT (I have a cat also) will build up on the radiator :(

So I'm not sure if the new fans will knock a few degrees or... if not i might have it dismount the cooler and redo it as i might have done some thing wrong?

on side note my gpu at idle runs at 45-49 in 3d mode (cuz of the dual screen) seems like they are on even temp but still feels high :/
