** CORSAIR LIQUID COOLING SOLUTIONS - CRAZIEST DEAL OF 2013 **

This doesn't really bother me much, if Corsair are happy to sell under their brand and provide a warranty then they can't be much different from a new unit.

I always recon if something is going to fail it will fail very early in its life, otherwise it'll last years.

I'm sure my replacement will be fine. :p

It probably will be.

I'd always be wondering if it wasn't "fine" though. Water and electricity don't mix. I reckon that a 10, or even 20 C drop in load temps are not worth the risk of a soggy graphics card (or motherboard). My air cooler keeps my overclocked i5 under 75c at full load. And even at 100% load, my air cooler is not noisy.

I have a quiet air cooler that allows my i5 to run @ 4.6ghz without making a racket. What would I gain by fitting a H80 or H100 refurb ?

I think the saying on your bike might come into affect unless they are really kind to you.
see what others say but this was asked before in you look thru this thread.

Watercooling seems too risky to me. Chance of leaks due to faulty equipment and no way to be compensated. :o

Kinda put off from buying one now as I can't afford to buy a new £600 rig if my £45 watercooling goes belly up. :o:(

edit: Is a watercooling solution like this suitable for a 24/7 PC?

Don't run them at high speed then! Simples.

2500rpm is never going to be quiet.

So you're saying everyone who purchases a H100 shouldn't use all the features available?

Maybe you're just being awkward for the sake of being awkward but the simple fact is, as confirmed by many, that the fans are silly loud. Simples..

I'm not the one being awkward. If you don't need to run the fans at maximum speed then don't!

There's about 5C difference under load between quiet mode and fast mode on my system, therefore I'm running it in quiet mode.

My point is that you're presented with three options - low, medium and high. Some people, not all, may want to use the higher of the two options which are, despite what anyone says, loud as hell to use a technical term.

Like you I'm content with the low setting which is quiet, I agree with you on that point at least.
