Corsair Obsidian 750D Builds

I have this case I will upload a picture once I have my cable mod set installed into the case :) But loving the pictures of everyones its such a nice sized case tho I am still tempted by the 900D!

Is the 750d airflow version going to be better in terms of airflow? Sounds like a silly question but I hear a lot that the solid front panel really restricts airflow.

Thanks

I dont think there would be a problem unless you stick a radiator there like i have. If i remove the rad and leave the fans plenty of air flows around the sides of the panel.

Not a whole lot from my own experience, but I have seen people who bought the airflow kit said that it did improve the case' airflow. Many of those guys are in this thread and in this 750D club, http://www.overclock.net/t/1430077/corsair-750d-owners-club/8500

Cool, thanks guys. I am still on the fence with the 750d... I'm really looking for a floor plate that sits above the PSU, so the pump(s) is hidden neatly. Might have to get the 900D I think. Will be overkill for what I need though.

This sounds silly, but will the 750d take a mATX board?

I was going to move to X99 but honestly, I just don't see the point right now. But want to watercool none the less and get away from my mini Lian Li case...

It will look silly, but meh.

Just received the intake kit, very nice, has taken a couple of degrees off my temps, so happy with that. Question, have other users removed the original dust filter that sits behind?

I just bought a high airflow kit. I'll probably be using it to replace the dust filter behind. Is the kit effective enough at filtering dust by itself?

Without measuring you might loose the hd bay but can move the hds to the optical bays anyway

280mm fits in front tho.

Yeh i think i might even loose BOTH bays, which would be a pain.

I was thinking the 3.5inch drives might bolt onto the back of the motherboard tray but they'd be touching the case side or may even stop the panel going back on, or i could just get rid of the 3.5inch drives altogether.

Not sure, i've just installed mine so i'll see how it goes.

I've just installed the airflow front with a pair of 140mm Noctua Redux fans behind rather than the 140mm Corsairs I had. The fans are all running much slower - mostly as I don't have two **** fans in there now and I like quiet - and there is a big amount of airflow. I also have no top mesh as it doesn't fit for the Noctua rubber fan mounts. :p
