Cruicial M4 0009 Firmware Update

Really?! Very weird as they worked for me. Basically UNetbootin emulates a floppy drive on the USB stick and BOOT2880.IMG is just a floppy image. Is your machine set to boot from a USB stick or CD?

i decided to give and so changed my AHCI mode On in bios and booted but forgot to take the usb out and it magically worked lol my firmware is now 0009, great stuff !

just did a bench here's the result, didn't do a before bench sorry

Though I obviously have a different make of SSD to you ... In my personal experience, it doesn't make a huge difference (though others may disagree). I left mine using the default drivers that W7 installs and I get pretty near identical results to folks using the latest Intel RST drivers.

Mine had the 002 firmware on it, as said earlier it is so easy to update it's not worth worrying about.

Looks like it's got the latest firmware according to the disc label. Can't wait to see how it compares to my old Intel SATA2.

Is there anyway to check without looking at the physical disk, e.g. Software to say what firmware you are on? I only just got my crucial M4 2 days ago (thurs).
