Just saw that + I checked the intel icon in the bottom tray. Myn was delivered on Thursday and came with 0002 firmware. Now successfully updated to the 09 one and speeds have improved :-)

64GB drive has much slower writes, I'd go for at least 128GB.

FWIW when I collected my M4 it already had the latest firmware on it. Just one less thing for me to do I suppose.

just ran intel rapid storage tech and it tells me ive got 0002 firmware.

it was sold advertised as having the 0009 firmware on it.

is it simple to do it yourself?

Very - download firmware, burn iso to cd, boot off cd and follow instructions.

If the sticker on top of the drive doesn't state 0009 firmware then it won't have it.

Hey all,

I've just noticed that in my windows 7 defragment schedule SSD is turned off as expected but it has also disabled my 2 1TB normal drives should I renable these for a weekly check? Also should I set system reserved to be defragmented, not sure if this is on the SSD or not.
