MM makes no sense, I just ranked up to Supreme but I'm still playing like a silver lol. Well I guess the fun ends here since there are soooo many cheaters in these ranks :(. Might have to try Faceit at this point.
 
So Ive been playing on a 1440p monitor since I started in December.
Just tried out the other day a 1080p windowed and I seem to be aiming better?
Could it be that my mouse travels less space in 1080p, compared to 1440p?
What I found about 1440p is everything is so fine and its hard to see heads at a distance, 1080p windowed doesnt solve the problem but fullscreen it does, although I don't like it :p
So will be sticking to 1080p windowed for now.

even using things like the PC350/SE/Zero variants from Sennheiser which are seen as the best in terms of gaming headsets and the Beyer MMX300 etc are fairly terrible in terms of sound translation for games like CSGO.

I fully didn't believe that there was any benefit to be had from using good headphones over a gaming headset.

I now own AKG 702s and we don't talk about when I used to use gaming headsets anymore.

i havent tried any decent gaming headsets but do own a pair of Q701 _ O2/ODAC and I have to agree with this, everything is so clear, I just need to get better at map awareness/positions.

I've been pretty lucky up until now with ok team mates but just played a game with a 3 team of kids squealing down the mics, playing songs, TKing etc.

Anyone want to play add me Hattori-Hanzo

I've been using a cheap pair of sennheisers which I thought where pretty decent but then I remembered I have a pair of sennheiser Hd25 in the cupboard from my djing days. Wow what a difference, can pick up so many more sounds that I wasn't hearing before.
These cans are closed back but i see a lot of the gaming head sets are open back, why is open back preferred?

I just need a new mic, can any one recommend a cheapish one that I can mod onto the HD25?
 
I would love to see a slow motion of that Deagle shot because I bet the crosshair is not even close :D

To the headset thing I got Audio Technika ATH M30 for £30 quid its a studio HP and very good for positional audio, and for the mic got a 2 quid one from ebay on a pice of wire :D DIY hs for £32...cannot complain

Well after a solid month of 80% losses i finally deranked to GN4 from MG1.

I'm really finding it hard to find a team that doesn't want to dick around each game. My performance has been pretty stable throughout it all but i'm finding poor teams is hurting me more than my own game play.

I know a poor workman blames his tools but my gameplay has been relatively consistant and the only thing that hasn't has been the teams i'm playing with who either all or at least half are dicking about each game.

I got ranked Gold Nova 2 after my 10th game which should be a total disaster (me, 3 non english speaking Russians and a bot against full team) but was actually quite enjoyable. And we won. Weird. But it was last time I solo q. If you fancy some games tgvr Im Morbid Florist on Steam.

Not much you can do, it completely ruins the experience unless there is some form of team work or you have a godlike round and the 5 on the other team play poorly.

Let me guess though, mostly Russians/Polish? They absolutely kill this game, I don't think I've anything positive to say about any of them.
 
I get similar games, had a guy last night with 5 ping who'd played 38 hours in the last week yet didn't have a single kill in the first half, 0-13 or something so we kicked him and managed to turn it around. He was blaming his PC saying it doesn't run the game very well but his tracking looked like he was playing on a laptop touchpad. I don't understand why you would play competitive then :confused: probably just a troll.
 
Have those games daily :) * iv learnt to just take it in my stride now * had a game today 11 rounds as T then we go ct lose pistol and my team just rush b every round :(


Just got my first drop from the new operation Rank 5 and got an awp sun in leo
Do we only get drops once a week now?

Lucky sod, I've had a UMP and a M249 skin the last 2 times.

1 skin per week when ranking up.

Yes that's right, you only get a drop on the first time per week that you rank up. I believe it resets on a Wednesday.
