I actually agree with you here, and i'm not exactly new to css myself. As I said in my earlier post, people are constantly getting ridiculous strafe headshots on me over long distance, or small gaps.

then you should know to pick good community servers that have admins and yes there are hackers and always will be but you're just being silly

Why would a hacker do a 360 then headshot you?

Shame the original isn't CSS. Also it is quite different from CSS and the original.
 
I've played about 30 hours now and only seen one hacker. It was on a non-VAC enabled custom Arms Race server (god knows how the matchmaking connected me to that). Anyway, it was really obvious aimbot, and he wasn't trying to disguise the fact. On his steam profile he is VAC banned and in the comments he doesn't hide the fact he does it to annoy people.

So, make sure you are connect to VAC enabled servers obviously. I know plenty of hacks aren't detected by VAC, but Valve normally leave it for a while until a particular hack is popular, then they can ban loads of people in one go (afaik).

As for the "this is no different from the original apart from the graphics" - don't agree at all. I'm still getting used to the movement and recoil. It's quite different, but worth getting used to it. Wouldn't ask for my money back after what, a couple of hours gameplay? :-/
 
Some of the complaints on here about supposed cheating are hilarious, strafe headshots over long distances or small gaps? Come on, these are REALLY common things in CS. As for why somebody would do a 360 and then headshot you? In all honesty he was probably trying to make you look bad. If you can't kill somebody in the time they have to rotate 360 degrees and then start shooting, I think that problem is with you and not them sorry. I shudder to think what some of you will come out with the first time you get wallbanged.

And for the record, most people who play public aren't even that great, it's a good job you didn't play any mixes/proper games. I think you would have possibly cried.
 
Yeh this discussion is getting a bit too highbrow for me.

So... anyone found any decent wallbang spots? I've found a nice one on Inferno, not killed anyone with it yet though. Will post a screenshot of it later.

If you get in there fast enough and have someone covering you on T side you can wall bang the crap out of CT's rushing up.
 
The only thing I've seen so far that I was a bit weary of was a guy on a server I joined yesterday who had a score of 20-0, then the map changed to Office and he got to 6-0 before I had to do something else. Wouldn't say for definite that he was hacking as I've pulled off 20+ kills and 0 deaths on Source before. When I see a score like that I usually keep a close eye on the person anyway.

I seem to be doing well myself, on Source I was only ever really any good on Office, but on Global Offensive I seem to do well on all of the maps. I actually got to the point yesterday where I felt sorry for the other team which is very rare.

180 degree headshots are easy once you've been playing for long enough, not sure I can understand the point in a 360 degree spin before a headshot, but whatever floats your boat.
