CS:GO Discussion

Encountered a new exploit today..

Playing MM, came up against a 5 man pre-made with pings of 5 all round, must have been playing on a LAN connection to the server and found some way to ensure that they get placed on a specific server. A little bit cheeky but fair play.

We were about to win the game (I was 40+ kills at this point and carrying) and conveniently my ping suddenly shot up to 500 exactly and stayed there for the remainder of the match until they won it. :(

Had enough time to tab out and check my internet connection, no issues there..

Not played for 8 months, just started playing death match again so don't think I'll be solo queueing for a while. O ye I bought 20 cases and unboxed two knives. Happy as a pig in ****

Quick question - if any veterans of cs on here, do you preffer cs 1.6 or csgo? (doing a survey)

its a difficult one i think. csgo is very different now to 1.6. far less random wallbangs. far more tactical with a good team. one of the biggest changes was the better smokes, i seem to remember 32 bit options made them see through lol. no though, a good smoke can win the round!

my vote is with csgo because of this, i like the tactical elements as much as anything else.

CSGO is it all xp based? I finished my last game 31 5 21 and we won 16-14 but still I'm silver one.

16 / 14 is a very close win and its nearly a draw so consider it like 10% of a 16-0 annihilation of the other team.
Thats my guess

Seems to be a thing that people play to the level of their opponent even in pro games. The quality teams dont let up when winning dont give up when losing

If you were in a league its an absolute win thats all that matters, cant remember hearing about rounds mattering except on some betting sites but in the cs rank its all very aprox and you want the really big wins afaik.
Esea explains their points system on kills and I reckon it might also carry some weight in mm, kills to end a round count for a lot more

Just read this ELO guide maybe as he seems to be someone whose studied the system over a few years

Effect of Surrender on Elo Points
UPDATE 2 June 2016: The old information is inaccurate now. Here's how Surrendering a match affects your rank:
Your rank will be updated based on the Round Results (at the time of surrender) and your personal stats such as MVPs. Basically, if you Surrender a match while you have more round wins than the enemy, you will GAIN rank points and vice versa. So it's usually a good idea to surrender a match once you're ahead of the enemy so you wouldn't risk losing it instead.

I'll keep at it then. I replaced my Shogun Bro Mrk 2 with a Razer deatheradder chroma and the difference is unbelievable.

Calling All serious CSGO Players

Hey people,

If theres any serious players who want to play CSGO sometime id love to have a match. Recently ran into straight up toxic people on solo que or purpose de-rankers.

I enjoy strats, tactic playing and discussion. Just reached DMG and play around 2-3 games a night.

I was at a bit of a loose end over the weekend so jumped on this for a game after not playing for months (didn't finish off my placement games) and did one more (two left) and boy this game is great fun, got on a team who wanted to work together and we pulled it back 15-11 down to draw 15-15.
