Anyone else getting headshot instantly? For instance I meet an enemy and we both start firing and I will get HS the first bullet he fires. If its a pistol then it seems they only fire 1 bullet and never seem keep firing not even for a millisecond more.

Best I can describe it is I'm going around with a 2 foot wide head.

Go into console and type cl_headsize 1, make sure it is not set to cl_headsize 2 ft

It's not the size of the radar, it's the fact that it's in the top left corner. In a 16:9 mode this just means physically moving your eye further to view it than in a 4:3 mode where the whole FOV is a lot narrower.

There is no option to change the default location of any items on the HUD - it would be nice to be able to customise it a bit (i.e. centre up the major bits like radar, ammo etc).

There's an option but I can't remember where it is, think it might be in video or game where you can change the position. Mine looks like this:

42E232034E87006B757F1C8FECBD8CC5E84F108A

Yeh when I learned to set it to normal I do not get headshotted as often now, anyone who is new to the game don't forget to go into console and type cl_headsize 1 also in a match go to console and type bind mouse1 kill, that should help you out as well.

Gonna try that kill command also, is it like an instagib? Can't thank you enough for all these great tips!

Don't do this! It's a trick!!

Another patch rolled out although I have no idea what it is about.

Team mates are being given the same colour now. Kinda defeats the point of having different colours. Once, they were all red/orange. They were like enemies :o

Yes for example match point 15:15 in a match, type kill in the console and this will kill the opponents.

They need to stop making changes I think, only change I want to see is the servers and tick rate.

@ The person who wanted a tighter HUD, you can do this by going in options, video settings, HUD SIZE (very bottom, near apply) and tighten the HUD.

I can't seem to arrange my graphics settings. i put on VSync (for example, but nothing works) and press apply. All good. I go out of the options by pressing Esc or the home button, and it reverts back to normal. Anyone knows why?

I want to download my CS:GO competitive game, but for some reason, I can't. I go to watch, click on the game I want, and then I press download, but nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

A quick google search gives me nothing.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have a bug. After you click download you should be able to click the match again and watch demo or highlights.

Thanks for the HUD tip btw. They must have added that in an update some time, since I can remember looking for those type of options before and not finding anything like that.

It could be Nvidia Experience or whatever it's called if you have that installed. There is an option within it for each game, keeping it "auto optimised" or something to a performance profile you previously chose.

I want them to introduce character select again as in Source and I also want prodigy in the game - but I know the chances of that are slim given everyone else hates the map

But yeh they need to sort the servers out before doing anything, that winter update a few months ago turned most servers into lag fests.

It was because the game is saved to the SSD, and STEAM to the HDD, so each time I have to do some sort of overwriting, I need to run as admin, and I forget xD Solved now.
